Interesting little place with delicious food. Cons: Since the restaurant serves as the main restaurant for the hostel next door, there will sometimes be a wait for your food. The restaurant area is fairly small so it might be a tight fit if you have a big group. Lastly, the neighborhood isn't exactly pristine at night so car travel is likely necessary to reach the spot. Other than that, this small restaurant hits the spot with delicious (and plentiful) food at great prices. We were very satisfied with the service, they changed parts of the order when we requested and any mix ups were quickly addressed and apologized for. I would highly recommend La Cocina if you are in Manuel Antonio or Quepos and...
Read moreGreat local spot for lunch. I’ve been here many times and by far the best thing on the menu is the rice with shrimp. The dish is served with a side salad and french fries, the rice is flavorful and comes with a good amount of shrimp on it as well. We also ordered ceviche but forgot to specify that we wanted it with patacones, and the server had no problem taking it back and asking the cooks to whip up some patacones for us. Service was prompt and attentive. We also really enjoyed the iced chai tea. It is a great spot for a small group since it is a bit of a small restaurant. For being in the Manuel Antonio area, it is not badly priced although a bit pricier than a regular...
Read moreThe best resturant in Quepos. In four days we ate 3 meals here (two lunches and a breakfast) and really loved it. The food is excellent typical Costa Rican fair (Gallo Pinto, rice, beans, fresh chicken, plantains) but the real standout is the juices and milkshakes. Breakfast is a mix of traditional and American so there's pancakes and avocado toast on the menu. The Place is small so probably not great for large groups but perfect for two people to relax for a while. Plus the coffee is not only pretty good but it's also cheap and they'll even make it cold with a scoop of ice cream if you're into that...
