This was such a fun vibe! The restaurant was pretty and they sat our big group very fast. The menu was a bit difficult to read since everything was in a list without much explanation. The service was very slow and the servers were somewhat indifferent. Our food was great. We got the fish tacos and the mixed fajitas. The fish tacos had great sauces with them, but had romaine lettuce instead of shredded lettuce. They came with 3 tacos even though my picture just has 2. I just was too excited to eat them. We tried some soup too and it was delicious. The dessert was not good. We got the tres leches and it was dry in the middle. We also got the passion fruit cheesecake, but the cheesecake part had gelatin base. The crust was good. The price was pretty fair.

I was expecting a lot because I have been past the place a heap of times and the people eating there looked interesting. I looked online and the reviews and food looked great. My dreams were realised when I had chance to go there for lunch this week. The food was better than anywhere else I have had. My meal was perfection. I had crumbed calamari, salad and chips aka french fries. The calamari was very well cooked indeed, crispy outside, inside was sweet, tender and delicious. My salad was really good as well and so were the french fries. For what I saw people were really enjoying their meals. All the meals looked great. The service is excellent on top of which the price was very low. I joked with Pablo it was so good that he had spoiled it for other eateries in Quepos, the food was so good, I might just have to eat there all the time! Best place in town, do yourself a favor and check it out. Especially, this is on the top of my list for where to take guests to enjoy a great meal. Espanol: Esperaba mucho porque había pasado por el lugar un montón de veces y la gente que comía allí parecía interesante. Busqué en Internet y las críticas y la comida se veían geniales. Mis sueños se hicieron realidad cuando tuve la oportunidad de ir a almorzar allí esta semana. La comida era mejor que en cualquier otro lugar que he tenido. Mi comida fue perfecta. Tuve calamares desmenuzados, ensalada y patatas fritas alias papas fritas. Los calamares estaban muy bien cocinados, crujientes por fuera, dulces, tiernos y deliciosos por dentro. Mi ensalada también era muy buena, al igual que las patatas fritas. Por lo que vi, la gente realmente disfrutaba de sus comidas. Todas las comidas se veían geniales. El servicio es excelente y el precio es muy bajo. Bromeé con Pablo que era tan bueno que lo había estropeado para otros restaurantes en Quepos, la comida era tan buena, ¡podría tener que comer allí todo el tiempo! El mejor lugar de la ciudad, hazte un favor y compruébalo. Especialmente, esto está en la parte superior de mi lista de dónde llevar a los invitados a disfrutar de una excelente comida.

We traveled east to west of Costa Rica and wherever we are in cuepos we came here on both nights for dinner . compared to the other establishments in the city This place is completely catered for tourists. The prices are high compared to the local sodas but the food and portions are good. They cook the food in almost an American way, so they have a lot of fried items in the food. The local plated rice and meat items have an American taste to it. The price is a bit high and the locals who work here are from Nicaragua and they are very nice. Some of the staff speak some English but most don't. The ambiance is really good and it is located at heart of city. Parking is on street. Safe area of town.

The BEST milkshakes we’ve had in Quepos and they’re only $1.50! We love eating at sodas and we’ve eaten at almost every one in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. Soda Sanchez has really good food, but what impressed me the most was their milkshakes! I ordered chocolate and my husband got chocolate banana and they were phenomenal (and had really good presentation) and they were only around $1.50 USD. I ordered the shrimp “taco”, which was really good, but way more like a taco salad with shrimp (crunchy deep-fried shell like a taco salad usually has). We’ll eat here again and probably come back many times just for milkshakes during our 3 months in Quepos.

This soda was the best meal of our trip! We ordered 3 Plato's fuertes...and the 3 were delicious. Unlike posted in the previous reviews, the service was excellent and the food came out of the kitchen piping hot and fast....this was with the restaurant being full and many locals picking up curbside to go . ( This is a statement in itself when you see this many locals eating there ). I am already looking forward to our return tonight. One other thing I forgot to mention was the price, our check was 1/3 the price of the touristy restaurants in Manuel Antonio. Thanks for the great meal Soda Sanchez we will be back!

Absolutely phenomenal. Super fresh. We got the fish ceviche and the shrimp nachos. We also got the tres leches and Oreo cheesecake. 15/10. We went back for a second time the next day. Service was much slower. Food was still good but our guide had to keep asking them to hurry for us or we were going to miss our excursion. We tried the beef quesadilla, rice with shrimp, strawberry cheesecake, and coco flan. Strawberry cheesecake was not as good as the Oreo cheesecake was but everything else was still good. Just needed work on the service but still recommend. Just order everything at once, including dessert.
