We went as two couples who had only recently met in Costa Rica on holiday, so wanted a relaxed evening to get to know each other better. So far so good. The food was excellent……..but that was it! Two of us had happy hour mojito (which was terrible…..obviously watered down and no lime juice anywhere near it), the other two are teetotal, so drank water. This got a filthy look from our “waiter” Food was delivered, it was excellent as said, and we were then totally ignored for the rest of the evening 🙁 Even getting a second glass of water took 3 attempts. Two large tables of already drunk people arrived and the staff fell over themselves to brings them drinks (that seemed to be their main sim if the evening…..drinking) and we were completely forgotten. Live music was played early on by a delightful older guy, which was great, but when these bigger tables turned up, some dude dressed like a Greek rockstar started yelling down the mic at twice the volume (I’m assured this was “music”, but I’m still not convinced 😳🤣) Anyway, rather than order anything more, we paid up (that took an age) and left early. Do yourselves a favour and avoid. There are MUCH better places...
Read moreThis restaurant is a rare find. It is off the beat and path in Manuel Antonio but very much worth the search. The restaurant is very clean and the ambiance is perfectly Costa Rica. Service was very good. Our party had the sushi rolls which were incredible and a meal in itself. The tuna steak and pasta were also exceptional. I had the orange chicken and it would not be my choice in future visits. It was good but not great for the price. Another member of our group had the grilled chicken dinner and it was good but not memorable. The chef can definitely get more creative with those two menu items. With that said, there are amazing things on the menu and that is what we will explore on our next visit because we will go back. Oh, the guitarist who played the night we were there was beyond exceptional! Absolutely entertaining and brilliant with...
Read moreWONDERFUL atmosphere and fantastic service. Cheap beers too! On the way to Quepos from the old Quepos road, if you turn off the main road at Mono Azul it's about halfway down. Super friendly staff and very enticing menu. At dinner, the menu ranges in price from 4500.00 calones and up. Most entres are around 7500.00. I got a crispy chicken sandwich which you can order with bbq sauce, buffalo, and one other. It’s was very good, came with tomatoes and grilled and caramelized onion and lettuce. The buffalo sauce I order was on the side so I just coated the fries chicken breast with it. My wife got a Asian chicken salad. It came with chicken, mango, peanuts, and pineapple in a teriyaki dressing. It was superb. She got a jalapeño margarita, it was good, a little...
