Gelateria RIVIERA — Attraction in Grad Trogir

Where to start! Around 9 years ago we were sitting down with friends for a coffee, checked the menu and we ordered Some fancy looking Ice cream Cup. Sole purpuse was to prove my point that it is never looks like on the picture on the menu. I was TOTALY wrong! It looked the same, fruit garnish umbrella, the whole shebang! And it was yummi!! I mean heavenly Yummi!! Since then many holidays in Trogir and many years later, it is still the same Ice cream heaven!! The reason behind can be found by talking to the owner. It is a family business since generations, and it shows! The love of making ice cream, the vibe of the place is priceless! It makes the place unique and trully represent what is Trogir all about!! These long standing traditional places gives the essence of this place!! I really want you to go and experience Trogir with their Ice cream in your hand! I promise it's gonna be unforgetable experience! Friendly warning! It can Catch you!! The ice cream, and Trogir too. Have been in many many places, but something always brings me back here! Very rude attendant.. When I approached first he said they are closed. And then he said if you want just ice cream it's okay. When I asked if we could use the bathroom he said everyone needs to buy one ice cream. We said we just want to share one (we were full from lunch and just want to sit down and enjoy some ice cream together). The attendant said "why you buy one ice cream and everybody use the toilet?" At this point we were fed up and just decided to leave.

Worst customer service we have encountered in Croatia...

Décevant, à éviter !

Nous sommes venus pour une pause gourmande avec nos deux jeunes enfants (10 mois et 3 ans), dans l’intention de déguster une glace et des smoothies.

L’accueil a d’abord été agréable : la première personne qui nous a servis était sympathique. En revanche, l’attitude du deuxième serveur a tout gâché. Dès notre arrivée, il s’est mis à râler en croate à l’intérieur. Il a indiqué que nous devions aller nous asseoir et qu’il nous apporterait les boissons — ce qui est compréhensible — mais le ton était déplacé. Le premier serveur lui a précisé que j’attendais simplement pour régler par carte. Une fois payés, nous sommes allés nous installer.

Le serveur est ensuite venu nous apporter les smoothies, sans nous signaler que notre poussette pouvait gêner le passage (ce que nous aurions tout à fait compris et corrigé sans problème).

Peu après, il s’est installé à une table voisine et nous a demandé s’il pouvait fumer. Nous lui avons répondu poliment que cela nous dérangeait, étant non-fumeurs et surtout accompagnés de deux enfants en bas âge.

Sa réaction a été stupéfiante : il nous a tout simplement demandé de changer de place, sous prétexte que la poussette gênait désormais le passage… alors qu’il était clair que l’unique raison était qu’il souhaitait fumer tranquillement de SA place.

Nous ne pensons pas que "le client est roi", mais se voir demander de se déplacer pour le confort du serveur est une première pour nous. Une expérience...
