I’m a World of Hyatt Globalist and stayed three nights on points. As Croatia’s first Hyatt and only two months post‑opening, the stay was truly fantastic—from location, room, pool, breakfast, dining, design, to the warmth of the team.
Globalist Recognition: Recognition was excellent. Pre‑arrival outreach from Daria felt professional and warm. Tunç (Front Office Manager) seamlessly honored my Suite Upgrade Award and, even in peak August, arranged a spacious balcony suite with a side sea view. The Globalist welcome amenity was generous, and service throughout made me feel genuinely valued.
Hotel Design: A full Mediterranean resort vibe: vibrant, retro‑colored public spaces paired with understated, elegant rooms.
Location: Across the water from Zadar Old Town. You can take the Boatman of Zadar rowboat from the hotel pier to the Old Town for €2 per crossing—a charming local tradition, though not exactly cheap for such a short ride. Alternatively, it’s a 20‑minute walk over the bridge. The nearby pier also offers plenty of sea excursions—super convenient if you plan to go out on the water.
Breakfast: Outstanding—easily among Europe’s best I’ve had. The fried chicken and hash browns were great, and I loved adding shrimp to my salad. If I nitpick: the salad greens could have been fresher, and the cantaloupe wasn’t ideal (likely that batch). Staff were all smiles and set a happy tone for the day. One small wish: table‑service coffee orders instead of self‑service would be even nicer.
Dining: Under Executive Chef Damir, every dish was refined and delicious, with pricing comparable to Old Town restaurants. I usually avoid hotel dining for fear of “overpriced & underwhelming,” but not here.
Pool I swam daily. Facing west, it’s a perfect sunset spot. Indoor and outdoor pools connect via an automatic door for seamless laps. One suggestion: consolidate pool access—e.g., check‑in at the Spa or a staffed staircase—to keep the flow tidier.
Gym Well equipped: dumbbells, a cable station, fixed machines for back/chest/shoulders/legs, plus plenty of cardio.
Spa Didn’t have time, but the menu looked extensive (even HydraFacial) and prices reasonable.
Room Smart TV with YouTube and Netflix; comfy bedding; robes and slippers; Hyatt Regency‑branded amenities. Still and sparkling water (one bottle each) replenished daily. The mini‑bar is empty, but the lobby market sells drinks/snacks at fair prices, plus local specialties and souvenirs.
Special Thanks • Tunç — warm, professional, and meticulous; made my Globalist stay feel special. • Daria — thoughtful pre‑arrival email and smooth process. • Karlo & Antonia at the front desk — consistently upbeat and professional, solving every request efficiently. • Chef Damir — I loved the fried chicken at breakfast on day one. When it wasn’t available later, he made a special portion just for me—so touching!
For a brand‑new hotel to operate at this level so quickly is truly impressive....
Read moreI have nothing but praise for this new hotel. Staff, location, cleanliness all five stars.
After a long flight, we finally arrived in Zadar hours before check in time. The reception welcomed us warmly and let us check in to our room early. The room was so spacious and clean. One thing to note is that if you're a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, I would recommend a room on the 2nd floor and above. Our room was on the first floor and we were able to hear the music from the downstairs bar throughout the day and night. We mentioned this to the staff and they were quick to offer us a different room but we declined because we had already unpacked and settled in and too lazy to redo it. The bed was so comfortable that, with the help of the black out curtains, we were able to sleep through the night even with the music.
The hotel is about a 25 min pleasant walk to old town but there is also a boat right in front of the hotel that takes you to old town for 2 euros per person, 5 min ride, operating from 7am to 10pm.
The hotel bar makes the best cocktails ever! The bartender really takes pride in the drinks he makes. We didn't dine at the hotel restaurant but we saw alot of diners and they seemed to enjoy their meals. The outdoor pool and gym was very clean also.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Zadar! Just thinking about this hotel brings a...

Our spontaneous visit to Hyatt Regency Zadar turned into an unforgettable experience. We originally stopped by just for cocktails, but what followed far exceeded our expectations.
The bar staff were not only highly skilled, but genuinely attentive – recommending cocktails tailored to our preferences, each crafted with precision and creativity. The appetizers we shared were refined and delicious, perfectly complementing the drinks and ambiance.
To our delight, we were even greeted by the executive chef, who gave a personal presentation of his culinary approach – despite the fact we had not booked or announced our visit in advance. That level of attention to guests is rare and speaks volumes about the culture of the place.
From the quality of the ingredients to the professionalism of the staff, everything felt thoughtful and elevated. It’s clear that this hotel takes its role in Zadar’s hospitality scene seriously, and while no establishment is immune to the occasional off night, our experience was anything but.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an elegant and welcoming atmosphere with truly...
