My family and I went this afternoon to the Crow Museum of Asian Art. There was a man who was an employee that followed us around the first floor. I had to say excuse me in order to read the museum label on the wall describing the art work. I’m not sure if it was due to our 9 year old going off to read by himself. However, It was very uncomfortable for my family and I. He never engage or asked if we had questions which we didn’t expect but he was on our heel everywhere we turned. We felt so uncomfortable we went up to the second floor. While the staff members up there only roamed about the floor we never felt as though we were being watched or felt their presence on every section of the exhibit. My son even questioned why is he following us. Needless to say we only enjoyed half of the exhibit. We probably won’t return due to the uncomfortable feeling of being watched. Overall, the pieces were beautiful. We can’t wait for the exhibit to open on UTD campus. Hopefully, we will have a different experience there.
