A Truly Unpleasant Experience
I recently had the misfortune of dining at kalifi, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The service was abysmal, and the management's attitude was shockingly rude.
Service: From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. We were give a small table for 4 people that we couldn’t even put the starters on despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. When we were finally seated, the server seemed completely uninterested in providing a pleasant experience.
Food: After waiting for our meals, the food was tasteless. It was evident that little care or effort had been put into preparing the dishes..
Management: The worst part of the experience was the manager's response to our concerns. When we politely mentioned the issues we were facing, the manager was dismissive and condescending. Instead of addressing our complaints, they argued with us and made us feel unwelcome. It was clear that they had no interest in resolving the situation or ensuring that we had a satisfactory dining experience.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness was another red flag. The restroom was dirty and lacked basic supplies, reflecting poorly on the overall hygiene standards of the establishment.
Overall: In conclusion, my experience at Kalifi was dreadful. The poor service, rude management, and subpar food made for an evening to forget. I strongly advise others to avoid this place. There are many better options where you can enjoy good food and be treated with...
Read moreUnfortunately, we decided to celebrate my friend’s birthday there and it was the worst decision ever. Pure service and the staff was very rude to the customers, had to ask many times to bring our birthday cake and at the end they forgot (not just ours, more cakes have not been sent to the tables). When we asked them what happened nobody took responsibility, so eventually we decided to go somewhere else to enjoy our evening. The atmosphere was very weird and the manager seems that he struggles to communicate with the costumers and his staff. Risotto was okay but definitely DO NOT order a pork chop- worst experience ever. In general, overpriced and disappointing. We had to sit to a small table- even if a bigger one was available at that moment, they denied to let us sit there since it was for six people (as they said), though, a few minutes later, they gave it to another group of four people- zero organisation and imagine that the restaurant was half- empty at that time. I was so excited to visit that place but later noticed that almost everyone is aware of the bad vibes that go around- nobody was shocked when hearing that story, it seems that this is how they treat their costumers. Super dirty toilets, disgusting and full of sand. Feeling sorry for the super kind girl who works there and was exceptionally good 👍🏻 If you would like to protect your vibes please do choose another place...
Read moreLocation of this place is Amazing, also nice and romantic atmosphere. However, the variety of dishes of very limited (for a dinner) - only 6 or so fish options. This place is more a bar than a restaurant. If you wish to have a good meal, better choose another place, but for a drink - they are good. In other places that we’ve been we were served with some small starters for free (pita bread with some dips and olives or olive pate), here they charged for pita bread that we asked and didn’t bring any starters, even olives. Also, there was live music and we were told in advance that we would be asked to pay 5€ per person for music. Ok, we can pay, but other places in Protaras provided live music (much better music) completely for free. At the end I saw a 20€ charge in our bill for music, and we were just 2. Good that we checked the bill and asked to correct it. Still do not get why would they change for the music, it looks so cheap off them. At the end we paid 80€ for 2ppl, which is almost a double of what we used to pay in other restaurants in Protaras. after all of this, they ‘offered’ us to leave some tips (5%, 10% or 15/20 %), which wasn’t a practice in other places too. You leave the tip if you want and as mush as you want! In my point of view, If you are looking for nice bar to take a drink go for it, if you want a good restaurant, choose another one and pass by...
