Incredible! We were absolutely amazed by this great restaurant in every aspect. We had a xmas lunch menu including starters from the buffet table and a warm main dish of choice, the dessert and coffee. The starters included the sweetest beetroot we have tasted ever, salted mushrooms and sour cream, smoked reindeer mousse, lingonberries, smoked salmon and tasty crunchy and fresh bread. As mains we had salmon with dillpesto and Vermouth sauce, and glazed pork cheek. Both if the mains were perfectly prepared, juicy and tasty. As dessert there was incredibly delicious blue cheese with roasted nuts and jam and best ever salt caramel pannacotta. Personel is very friendly and visited many times by our table to ask how we like the food. After the lunch one of the owners and chefs came also and we had a good conversation and he answered all our questions happily. This was a totally surprising top list restaurant experience. Overall very nice, comfortable place with affordable price.

Very nice, comfortable restaurant with very chill atmosphere. Food was extremely good, not trying to be anything its not but sticking to very strong basics. Wine pairing to the offered menu was very good, complementing the light tastes and delicately cutting the more buttery ones with crisp flavours.

If there were things I would change there would be 2. First, I would replace the single use paper towels with reusable fabric ones and I would offer maybe around 10-15 minutes more to enjoy the beautiful scenery in between serving the courses of the meal.

Stopped by the restaurant due to a need to use the toilet by saying I will buy something because they said it is only for customers and I respected. After using restroom for 30 seconds I asked sparkling water or still water and the guy there said they are out of sparkling water. However he still insisted to me to buy something. I said I don't want to drink anything and simply asked a Sprite just to be able to give something. He gave the Sprite and charged 5 euros although he was knowing that this was for restroom only. PORVOO is one of the most wonderful places I have ever seen however I would expect more Finnish hospitality to a person only requested kindly to use the restroom...
