Absolutely disappointing experience. We were a group of eight, we ordered and consumed regularly for over 40 minutes without any issues, in full view of the waiters who never once made any remark. After we had finished, the owner approached us in an extremely rude manner, scolding us for having moved tables together — something we had done without disturbing anyone or disrupting the service.

Her attitude was so rude that even a Finnish customer present in the venue intervened to call her out on her behavior, pointing out how unacceptable it was. The owner had arrogant attitude, boasting that the place was “extremely popular,” as if that somehow justified her complete lack of respect towards customers.

Such behavior completely ruins the atmosphere and leaves a bad impression, no matter the quality of the food or drinks. Strongly not recommended: there are plenty of other places where you will be welcomed with courtesy and professionalism — qualities clearly unknown in this...

I was here with a friend for a nice afternoon coffee. Nice cake selection, good hot chocolate. But the Runeberg Cake tasted very dry and basic. Already had better ones since I’m living in Finland. My friend is vegan and got the only one vegan cake for 6,50€. It was like a brick and tasted like nothing, I tried it. The owner of this cafe was very unfriendly when my friend told her if she can have another cake bc she can’t eat this brick. She didn’t want to communicate and wanted to explain her what’s ‚vegan‘ and that vegan food has to taste bad. My friend is vegan since 8 years, so I think she knows what ‚vegan‘ means. Charming tea and lunch spot in the historical town of Porvoo. The tea service and the ambiance are lovely. The lunch sandwiches and quiches are tasty. The salmon quiche was flavorful with a nice smokey salmon aftertaste. They have a variety of teas and coffee to compliment their dessert selection of cakes and pastries. The area is cozy but spread out so you do not feel cramped sitting close to another party. The seats are a bit stiff so I wouldn't sit in them for too long but nice to help correct any...
