At first glance, the transportation hub in Cannes seemed to promise convenience and accessibility. However, my experience at the Cannes Train Station left me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. The station appeared to be unkempt, with litter strewn about and a general lack of cleanliness. The service was lackluster, with little help or information available to visitors. The ambiance was dull and uninviting, making me eager to leave as soon as possible.
Despite its shortcomings, the Cannes Train Station did have some positive qualities. The location was convenient, providing easy access to the rest of the city. However, the lack of comfortable seating and amenities made waiting for my train a less-than-pleasant experience.
One area for improvement could be a focus on cleanliness and maintenance. Additionally, more resources could be dedicated to providing assistance and information to visitors. With some effort, the Cannes Train Station could become a more welcoming and efficient transportation hub for locals and tourists alike.
Overall, I give the Cannes Train Station 2 out of 5 stars. While the location and convenience are positive aspects, the lack of cleanliness, uninviting ambiance, and poor service detract from the experience. I cannot say I would recommend this place without hesitation, but I hope to see improvements in the future that may...
Read moreThe worst experience ever. I’ve never seen such a terrible attitude towards people My boyfriend and I had already entered the platform after presenting our boarding passes, but there was no information about the direction on the platform, and in order to make sure that the platform was correct, we needed to go to the waiting area. My boyfriend stayed at the platform with our luggage, while I went to check the information. Having done this and upon trying to re-enter the platform, the three ladies who have JUST seen me walking in an out of the platform told me in a really rude tone that I should communicate only in French, they began to take my hands and push me, explaining that I should show the ticket again (I explained that I had just passed, but my boyfriend still had the tickets). I believe that in such cases you need to remain human and professional and just politely explain the situation - not be rude and especially not try to humiliate the tourist, who is a guest in this country, in such a way that a person who speaks English is not worthy of good service. I hope the management of this station will send employees to courses in etiquette and business communication...
Read moreGorgeous place, lots of shopping, restaurants and places to relax. The beach restaurants and clubs are very expensive. €95 to €120 a day for a sun lounger at these beach restaurants and beach clubs with a cocktail setting you back around €23 and a bottle of water around €10.
We ate at Le Mome, on the beach which appeared to be one of the more popular ones, beautiful food and drinks, was very enjoyable and expensive 💵
If you’re looking to save some money but still want to go to the 🏖️ beach, there are two areas at either end which are free, no sun beds or umbrellas, take your own towels etc. at the far end is also a small area with deck chairs and Umbrellas. €6.5 for half a day per chair or €9 for the whole day per chair and €8 euros for the umbrella for the whole day.
The seafront has all the high level hotels along the beach. If you’re looking for more reasonable places to stay, head in land a little.
Great transport via trains to any of the other seafront towns/cities, Monaco is only 1hr train from Cannes, costing €24 each way.
4 🌟 only because it does seem that everywhere central is extremely expensive! Some places warrant it, but others do not.
