Domaine du Bagnol — Attraction in Marseille

We decided to visit only two days before we could go. Messaged them through their website and didn't get a response to confirm a time. We decided to walk in anyways as it's low season and see if we could do a tasting and buy some bottles. We got excited when we saw some people walking on the street just outside the vineyard with a case of wine, though it was disappointing when we talked to someone, they told us that "they don't do tastings anymore and the season is over" it felt like a lie. The estate is very beautiful. Such a missed opportunity. I wish there were more clear information on the website about the tasting and have the ability to actually book it online.

[update after the response] I didn't mean to be rude by saying it felt like a lie that there were no more tastings, it was just confusing to see someone walking with a case of wine on the street right before we entered the vineyard. I want to be clear that it felt like a missed opportunity as I believed and got excited from all the other reviews saying how wonderful this wine is. I wish this family-owned vineyard nothing but success. People were indeed very friendly and let us take pictures of the well-maintained...

I haven’t done many wine tastings but this one was fun!

Our host was super pleasant and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about what is grown in the region and the wine history of the area. We got some good suggestions for her favourite local bars and restaurants as well.

The winery itself is just a short drive or walk just outside a town – a 10-15 minute easy walk from the harbour. We did book a reservation for our tasting - but just earlier that same day.

My wife & I had an incredible experience at Domaine du Bagnol in Cassis! We both enjoyed the 6 wine tasters, and each wine was delightful. The rosé was definitely our favorite! Our hostess was lovely and ensured we had a fantastic time, providing insightful information about each wine as we tasted them.The landscape surrounding the vineyard was breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of our visit.
