Breakfast Club Cassis — Restaurant in Marseille

No recommendation at all! We were looking for a nice place in Cassis to have breakfast at, found the very good reviewed Breakfast Club on google and decided to go there. When we arrived, the café looked so pretty (just like in the pictures). I ordered a „Fruits Bowl“ for 9€. What I received was a veeery tiny bowl with veeery few pieces of fruits! I already began to feel a little disappointed back then, but when I saw that some of the raspberries were mildewy, I truly felt annoyed. I told the waiter very kindly though. He looked at the bowl and took out one of the mildewed raspberries WITH HIS FINGERS and handed the bowl back to me! I mean?!?! When we left the Breakfast Club, we even had to pay the whole price for this moldy „Fruits Bowl“! All in all very disappointing…

Regarding your comments on my review: I did not say that I had a good time! Just because I stayed friendly doesn’t mean that I had a good time! I think my disappointment was obvious to your waiter but he didn’t show any accommodation… I left one third of the fruit (that was mildewy) in the bowl and handed it back to the server! The fact that you are getting rude in your comments instead of just saying ‚sorry‘ is even more...

This restaurant is an accumulation of ineptitude and bad faith.

We had a reservation for a large group inside for 1 pm and they gave our table away before we came. However, they tried to accuse us of not showing up for a different reservation at 11 am from some other group.

They first told us the table was just finishing up and to be patient. We then quickly realized they hadn’t even started. They then sat us outside.

We ordered the brunch menu and they sent out everything is no order what so ever or all at the same time. So some of us ended up eating dessert first.

The waitress spilled orange juice on me. She brought an « orange » green juice to my friend. When my friend said, are you sure a green juice with apple, cucumber and kiwi should be orange. She went in to check and said yes. My friend insisted that they didn’t serve her the right juice, so the waitress begrudgingly took it back and brought a new juice and said we made it the color green for you.

The biggest ripoff was the difference in the prices between the menu and the receipt, where they charged a whole euro more for juices and...

Super rude service, and discriminatory against Americans and foreigners. Despite having a reservation, hostesses ignored us and sat several walk-ins ahead of our party. When we were finally acknowledged, they would only seat us in the only table in the blazing hot sun, despite several open tables in the shade. Would not allow us to switch tables after requested. Also, while we were waiting, one of their umbrellas toppled over and hit one of their customers in the face!! Avoid at all costs.

Edited to reply to response: You must have us confused with someone else. We arrived 3 minutes before our reservation time. We were at the restaurant at 11:27 for an 11:30 reservation. There were 4 people in our party, not 2. I stand by my review. Terrible and dishonest...
