We were able to reserve two beach beds via email and were told to arrive between 10am-11:30am to secure a spot. Which kind of defeats the purpose of the reservation. We did arrive at 9:45am and checked in at 10am. The beach club was almost empty up until about noon so I’m not sure if the reservation was necessary. It cost about $98 for two beds, an umbrella, two towels, and two spots in front. Obviously it is a tourist spot and so they are going to charge the tourist rate. The locals just seem to bring their own mats and umbrellas. The kitchen opens at noon and although the menu says there’s lunch special combo/rate, our server said that it wasn’t available even though it was a Tuesday. The food was okay. Definitely bring water shoes if you decide to visit any of the beaches along...
Read moreWe booked a table 24 hours before. When we got there the manager told us he couldn't give us a table. We had two children and told them in advance. He made out as though it was because if the whether yet they were serving other guests. They couldnt even be bothered to tell us in advance that they couldn't serve us even though they confirmed our online booking. I can't help but think it was because they saw week had two young children. The manager wasn't even bothered we'd made a reservation in advance and they'd confirmed it. Read more28 euros for a transat 7 for a towel and 10 for the shade.
For the same price the Negresco beach is way better. Massive lack of staff. Despite their kindness there are way too many errors when ordering or the food comes too late. At the restaurant this is the same. Food on the beach is quite poor. Salade Niçoise is made as if we were in Dunkirk. Portions are very small too.
Beach amenities are 10 years too old. Rust on the shade. Broken floors.. The shower toilets are a joke. One (very dirty) toilet in the men's section. One changing room and one shower were I'd never want to put a foot.
What a shame for this historic place.
Plage de l'hôtel Amour and Negresco are way...
