We were just there, 2 PM ON A THURSDAY had to leave because the service was SLOOOOW. The host was nice and accomadating, there was a woman smoking next to us, IN A NON SMOKING SECTION, we asked to move and he obliged. But the service from Adam was terrible, felt discriminated against. My food came quick and was decent, had the young chicken, was ok. But my wife got the course. Her salad came quick, BUT HER MAIN TOOK 45 MINUTES OR MORE. I WAS DONE, THEY LET MY DIRTY DISH SIT FOR THE ENTIRE 45 MIN NEVER ASKED IF I WAS DONE, FINALLY HER DISH CAME BUT THE MOOD WAS SPOILED, HAVING TO MOVE DUE TO SMOKING AND THEN WAITING 45 MIN FOR GRILLED COD AND FRIES. RIDICULOUS!!!!!! AND IT ONLY CAME AFTER WE SAID THAT WE WANTED TO CANCEL THE ORDER AS WE WERE TIRED OF WAITING AND HAD TO LEAVE. SDAM SAID 2 MIN MAX. 20MIN LATER ,NO FOOD. FINALLY IT CAME AND WE TOLD THEM TO WRAP IT UP TO GO SO WE COULD LEAVE. THIS TOOK 10 MIN! THIS WAS OUR LAST DAY AND WAS HOPING FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL. WE HAD BEEN OVER CHRISTMES AND THIS PLACE WAS MEMORABLE, BUT NOW IT IS FORGETTABLE!!!!!! NEXT TIME WE ARE IN NICE WE WIIL NOT BE GOING HERE, NOT EVER AGAIN. UNLESS THE MANAGEMENT GETS SOME NEW AND BETTER TRAINED WAIT STAFF. ADAM WAS NONEXSITANT AS A WAITER. JUST MUTTERED 'SORRY' WHEN WE LEFT. BUT WAS TO THE FLOOR, DIDN'T LOOK US IN THE EYE, SHAMEFULL! UNBELEIVABLLY, WE FELT SO UNWELCOMED HERE, MAYBE HE DOESN'T RESPECT WOMEN, OR MAYBE DIDN'T LIKE US AS A MIXED RACE COUPLE. DO NOT GO!!! SO SAD!! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
ATMOSPHERE, TWO STARS, WOULD HAVE BEEN HIGHER IF NOT FOR THE SMOKING PERSON.
ALSO THE COURSE SHOULD HAVE HAD COFFE WITH , BUT WE DIDN'T GET AS WE LEFT EARLY.
IF YOU WANT A NICE EXPERIENCE WITH NICE SERVICE GO TO LA GALET. OR ANYWHERE BUT HERE!
MY WIFE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO EAT HER MEAL AT HOME. THIS EXPERIENCE LEFT SUCH A BAD TASTE IN OUR MOUTHS THAT IT SPOILED EVERYTING FOR THE AFTERNOON.
SHAME ON THEM.

Read moreWe were pleasantly surprised by our experience at Beau Rivage Beach Club. It's not one of the beach clubs that usually gets reviewed when you watch youtube videos and try to decide where you want to go. So I didn't have much info to go on and thought it must not be as good. But we wound up liking it better than the others. All the beach clubs are pretty similar, but Beau Rivage has a chill staff that are super helpful and I'd say "nicer" and more attentive than some of the other clubs. Food is fine, it's beach club food, so you are not going to get the same quality as at specialized restaurants in town. But yes, you'll want to kick back for the day, swim, lounge and order food, and the price to quality ratio here is better than at say, Castel or Negresco. The beach itself we also preferred to the others because of its central location. I guess it depends on where you are staying of course. If you are staying at the Beau Rivage, it's a no-brainer to go there because you get discounts on rentals. We were at Beau Rivage for the first part of our trip and loved the service and discounts. When we returned at the end of our trip we stayed elsewhere and checked out different beach clubs. We all unanimously agreed we liked Beau Rivage the best. Also: Yes, you can reserve and pay with credit card if you are staying at Beau Rivage. If you are not staying at Beau Rivage you need to walk up and reserve your spot in person on the day you plan to stay. This is true of all other places too, you must walk up and reserve on day (Castel is the one place that does have an online booking system). Plan to get in line by 10am in high season to hold your chair. All beaches in Nice are rocky so bring water shoes or plan on buying them while...
Read moreIt happened on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. During peak hours, the heat was 35°C. Only the terrace was open, with umbrellas, although the scorching sun shone in between each umbrella. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the waiter, Rayane, who temporarily seated us in a spot where half the table was in the sun. Fifteen minutes later, a table with full sun protection became available, and I asked to change it. We moved our belongings and sat down. At that same moment, a man arrived, not wearing a company uniform, very sweaty, with a badge that only said his name, Christian, and asked us to get up because he had another customer. I explained that we had coordinated with his waiter, and he replied that they have no authority. I tried to explain that his authoritarian and aggressive behavior was disrespectful, and he simply picked up our belongings and took them to the table where we were originally seated. I asked for an explanation, and he simply replied that he speaks French, not Spanish, and left. He overruled his waiters, was rude to us, and was simply savage in his disdain to respond or offer us a solution, allowing us to sit back in the same spot in the sun. The waiter, Rayane, sympathized with us, apologized, asked us not to leave, and provided excellent service. This man, Christian, is the restaurant's shift manager. He is very aggressive, rude, tyrannical with his employees, and clearly shows no respect for the duties assigned to him. We will never return to this place again, and he made us have a negative experience due to his lack of manners and his provocations to leave if we were dissatisfied with...
