We often visit greenhouses and were unfortunately disappointed by this one. First, one entire greenhouse was closed for renovations but we did not see any warning about this. We also still paid a quite expensive full price for what was then essentially a single greenhouse. There are a number of species and it is nice that they offer two balconies to see into the greenhouse from different levels. Yet, the walking path was confusing, plant labels were not always discoverable, and some plants - especially the few carnivorous ones - looked rather sad. On the side of the main (tropical) greenhouse is a small annex where you can see a small selection of plants from a dry climate. But again it's very small. Read moreThe botanical garden is beautiful, however, the greenhouse is just a disappointment. As EU-Resident under 26 I was informed that people under 26 could visit it for free but even though I can speak French, the personal was so unpleasantly unfriendly that he didn’t give us any instructions or tips how we can get the tickets, and he was so inpatient at the door. In fact the greenhouse doesn’t even worth the money to visit. There are tons of better places in Europe. Don’t bother even coming here, if it’s not close to you. I wouldn’t pay a visit if they don’t even try to improve their service. Thank you, The most unfriendly place that I’ve ever visited in Paris. Frankly,...
Read moreThe outside garden is free to visit, to visit the greenhouses and the University collection you have to pay €7,- for adults.
The greenhouses are very beautiful and well kept. On-site information (the same goes for the outside garden) is in French only, no English translations available.
The paid experience is small and quick though. We took our time and strolled, but were done in an hour. Might not be worth it if you have kids. It was nice to visit the greenhouses, but I wouldn't pay for the experience again.
The collection is beautiful, but lacks in some aspects. The succulents are amazing, but there's not a...
