The hotel is in a great location, and the room was small but clean and perfectly fine for a short stay. No complaints on the basics.
However, my experience soured significantly due to how the staff handled a reasonable and common request. I arrived a few hours after my partner, having cycled in with a high-value bike (that was also clean!). When I asked if I could bring it to the room or if there was any secure storage available I was met with a dismissive attitude and told to just lock it outside. I attempted to have a reasonable discussion to try and come to a solution, but the staff clearly weren't interested which was very frustrating, especially considering the price we paid.
There was no signage or policy I could see about bikes, and no effort was made to offer a compromise. I asked if a luggage storage could be used and was told no. I understand not every hotel can accommodate bikes in rooms, but there was zero attempt at hospitality or helpfulness. This was an expensive bike, and I had to take a chance locking it outside at a train station for three days. I was grateful it was still there when I returned as I fully expected it to be gone.
For a hotel at this price level, I expected at least a respectful conversation, if not a proper solution. That lack of support, and the way it was handled, left a lasting negative impression.
Great location, decent room but if you’re travelling with a bike or need even basic flexibility from staff maybe try a...
Read moreAfter my stay in room 302 of the hotel in question from 4 to 10 July 2024, just a few days before the start of the Olympic Games in the City of Lights, I would like a responsible professional to give an answer to my very obvious-yet unanswered questions-as a sign of the minimum respect towards me as a human being and as a client.
See attached screenshots of the two emails sent to the manager, Mr Geoffroy Fourcroy, who until four months later (!!!) has not even bothered to do the obvious in the course of his duties. Of course, reading the responses he has given to previous negative reviews I notice that he repeatedly invokes the high professionalism, courtesy, friendly service which the hotel staff ensures and personally guarantees... which is obviously a copy-paste text in all negative reviews.
I hope my review will prevent future potential guests from trusting their stay to "professionals" such as Mrs Marie, (in charge of breakfast), who spoke to us rudely, or Mrs Annita, who not only dared to question my injury in the hotel room (2 stitches in the elbow due to deep cut), which forced us to stay all night in hospital, but also lied to us about her identity in order to deceive us and. ...last but not least, Mr. Geoffroy, who didn't even bother after 4 months to at least sincerely...
Read moreIn general a nice hotel; the room was clean, the staff is friendly and helpful most of the time, the cleaning was adquate, and the location was amazing.
I would've given a much better review had it not for what happened on the last night of our stay. Basically, about 3-4 rooms on the first floor are situated right above the bar next door, and there was a party there that lasted until 2AM, followed by very loud cleaning so we couldn't sleep til 3. When we complained to the receptionist of the hotel, he said nothing could be done and the manager could not be reached; we had no choice but to put up with the noise and wake up very tired the next day, basically had one day of vacation ruined. I wrote an email to the manager the next day but it's been over a week and there's been no reply so I'm assuming they don't want to do anything about it.
From our experience, if you're lucky and there's no party next door, you'll find yourself in a nice hotel that's conveniently located; however, if there's a party going on, expect very little sleep that night and expect no help...
