What a waste of time!,Was hoping to see it on my last visit to Paris..closed for renovations! So her I am 2 year's later and turned up at 1.30 for the 2.00pm Tour. Had an overpriced coffee at Maxims cafe. Asked Maitre'd where tour starts and he said outside Maxim's Restaurant. Waited out front at 1.50, 2.00pm came,2.10. Three workers entered the Restaurant and locked the door after them and nothing said after clearly seeing We were waiting. Decided to go into the overpriced gift shop and was Told "No Tours Anymore'??? Gave up and left. Nothing on website which has probably now said closed by the time people read this review. If you go and read other people's reviews as well, they all complain about guide not turning up and not knowing much about collection. Don't waste your time or money here or at Maxims. It is a money Grabbing overpriced Tourist Trap. Shame on this Iconic?...

The worst and most expensive party ever! The location is nice to look at but it's all way too expensive and there's not enough quality delivered. 16 Euro entrance fee, a small cup of drink costs 12 Euro and the security is unfriendly. In addition there is only one toilet cabin and long waiting times. No...

we arrived at 17:00 and were told it is closing at 17:45 with unpleasant tone, they almost didn’t let us in. After 17:38 we were followed by all staff just repeating we must go. Few parts were closed due to reconstruction,...

**[Paris Exploration] Must-Visit Spot in Paris | Reliving the Belle Époque | Maxim's Restaurant & Art Nouveau Museum** If I had to recommend a must-visit place in Paris, it would undoubtedly be here. This is where you might bump into kings, dukes, celebrities, and great artists. Every time I return to Paris, I can't resist stopping by Maxim's de Paris. On one occasion, I even ran into my男神 (crush) Vanness Wu ❤️ But back to the main point 👇 You often hear people gushing about their longing for Paris and their desire to live there permanently, but rarely do they mention the essence of its magic. It wasn't until the term "Belle Époque" appeared in historical dictionaries that it all became clear. And Maxim's de Paris is the quintessential embodiment of the Belle Époque. Coming to Paris without visiting Maxim's is like missing out on the most enchanting 100 years of the city. Since its establishment in 1893 on the Royal Avenue next to Place de la Concorde, it has been the most prestigious gathering place for Paris' elite. Acquired by the renowned fashion designer Pierre Cardin in 1981, the restaurant has preserved the original murals, furniture, lighting, menus, stage, and dance floor from the last century, unchanged. Stepping inside feels like traveling back to the old Paris of over a century ago. The eccentric Salvador Dalí met friends here, Coco Chanel had romantic rendezvous with her lovers, and even the Queen of England once sat by the window sipping coffee while enjoying the view of Place de la Concorde. Imagine sitting with your lover in the prime era of Maxim's bar under the summer sun in Paris... The bold color scheme of deep red and peacock green is both classic and elegant. A spiral staircase leads to the Art Nouveau Museum on the 2nd and 3rd floors, which is like another world, housing thousands of treasures from the Belle Époque period, including paintings, furniture, and decorative items. Time seems to stand still here. Come and experience it for yourself. 💎 **Address:** 3 rue Royale, 75008 Paris, France 🚇 **Metro:** Line 1, 8, 12 to Concorde Station. Line 14, 8, 12 to Madeleine Station. Walk 3 minutes. 💎 **Hours:** Closed all day Sunday and Monday. Tuesday-Saturday: Dinner only. (Lunch available for groups of 40+ by reservation on the official website https://maxims-de-paris.com/fr/restaurant) 💎 **Layout:** Ground floor is the restaurant; 2nd-3rd floors house Pierre Cardin's private collection Art Nouveau Museum. Visit requires prior booking. 💎 **Souvenir Shop:** Adjacent to the restaurant, offering traditional French delicacies like chocolates and foie gras. Packaging design is very old-Paris style. Also available at Charles de Gaulle Airport and Montmartre Art District. #Paris #Museum #PlaceDeLaConcorde #PerfectPhotoSpot #Travel #MeetTheBestOfYou #ParisTravel
