Sent an email to the manager about our experience and provided some feedback, but never got a response or acknowledgement. We went as a group of 8 people and where they succeed is customer service and the interiors of the venue. From when we booked, the reservations team was quick to respond and answered any queries. As we arrived, the hostess was lovely and accommodating. We had to wait at the bar for a few minutes as our table was finishing up dessert. We were fine with that, and proceeded to order some drinks.
When we asked to look at the champagnes available, the barman/bartender would not give the menu to us. He kept insisting he would instead, “list them out”. He said “here’s what we have, and I’ll tell you… Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot….”
We insisted to see menu and had to ask a second time, however he had just repeated the options. Sometimes with new venues opening, there can be a period of the first few weeks where everything is not super perfect – so I thought to assume there was only the entry level champagne available and not an extensive list.
So we proceeded to order the Veuve Clicquot as we assumed there was only one type available (when someone doesn't give you a menu, you can only assume...) and it would be Carte Jaune. However when the bottle came to be served at the table, it was a different one – ‘Extra Brut’.
One thing I hate when you're not a native French speaker is being treated as a tourist, when in actual fact, we all have been living in Paris for a few years now. We didn't have an issue about the price difference of the champagnes, but we did leave feeling slightly taken advantage and not being serviced properly when asking for a menu.
One thing I will say – apart from this specific bartender, the service from our waiter and all the other wait staff was impeccable. Food was OK, it wasn't one of the best meals I've had in Paris but I'm not quite sure you go there for that (i.e. the steak for two had to be seasoned with salt for every bite as it was quite plain). Overall, a good night except that the food and bartender left...

The location is lovely, and the decor sets high expectations — which are quickly dismantled once the food arrives.
We were a group of 10 for a business dinner, with a pre-set menu confirmed in advance. The staff were friendly and tried their best, but they were clearly left to defend a menu that seems designed by someone who hates both numbers and logic.
It all started with the mimosa egg starter: two flavors, two dishes. Naturally, you’d expect 5 of each flavor per plate. But no — each plate came with 6 of one, 4 of the other. And the reverse on the second plate. A culinary brain teaser to get the evening going.
Then came the main course — if you can call it that. The kitchen sent out four tiny seared salmon plates for ten people. When we asked if this was an error, the staff reassured us: “It’s meant for 2.5 people per portion.” Right. Because nothing says fine dining like crowd-sourcing your protein. As for sides? Five portions of rice, three of gnocchi. Either they expected some guests to fast, or thought we’d enjoy doing long division over dinner.
Dessert wasn’t much better — six slices of chocolate cake for the group. Sharing is caring, but I didn’t realize dessert now came with a negotiation round.
The drinks were passable, though the prices were a joke. Cocktails at 20–25€ each, and a glass of cucumber water for 16€?
In short: friendly staff left to execute a wildly disorganized, overpriced, and frankly insulting group menu. Never again — not for personal meals, and absolutely never for a professional dinner. Unless your idea of team-building includes fighting over cake and...
Read moreI went to this restaurant yesterday evening (June 30) with 5 other colleagues (2 French and 3 German ladies) for a girls night out! FOOD: Menu from the chef Jean-François Piège, nice but could be more tasty. Nevertheless, considering the pricing, the quality and tastes are satisfying. I recommend especially the scallops (7 units to share) for starters. PRICE: for medium-high budgets, but when sharing, the price is really correct for a Parisian restaurant in this kind of location: scallops + Romain heart with anchovies + 3 traditional eggs mimosa (one half for each of us) + 2 main dishes (the salmon and the paillard chicken) + 1 side dish (mushrooms) & 5 desserts + 6 cocktails + 2 wine glasses + water = 67€ / person. PLACE: the restaurant is located in the Hotel de la Marine, with a cute courtyard enlightened when sun lays down. We stayed indoor because of the weather (35°C) but the terrace had a cute ambiance, while the indoor spaces were majestic with an impressive library and huge fans that you need to see! HOSPITALITY: the service was perfect, but we haven't got time to leave our tip, because the waitress was in a hurry. Next time, she will get a double tip! Special mention to the butler, who showed to our German colleagues how a French gentleman can be. CONCLUSION: 5 stars for this restaurant, that I recommend strongly, either for a group dinner as we did, a business dinner, a family dinner or a romantic dinner! I have to taste the brunch now (that I've heard of) and the...
