I recently stayed at the Meliá Paris Vêndome with complete family and, unfortunately, I cannot agree with its four-star rating. While the service provided by the staff is exceptional—worthy of 15 stars if it were possible—the quality of the rooms leaves much to be desired. Firstly, the rooms were unbearably hot, more akin to saunas than comfortable accommodations. The air conditioning was woefully inadequate, making it difficult to sleep at night due to the oppressive heat. Many other guests shared the same complaint. While I appreciate efforts to save electricity and protect the planet, there needs to be a balance that ensures guests' comfort. The rooms themselves were dated, with dirty carpets and extremely small. Despite booking a King bed for a couple, we were placed in two small beds pushed together, which was far from ideal. Additionally, in-room amenities were minimal, contributing to an overall disappointing experience. We occupied five rooms on the fifth floor and one suite on the sixth floor. The suite, assigned to my parents, featured a true King bed, a bit more space, a desk, and a modern-ish Bluetooth speaker. However, their room was even hotter than ours due to its larger size. The standout aspect of our stay was the incredible service. Individuals like Maikert and the ladies at the front desk went above and beyond to assist us, and their efforts are the sole reason I am rating this hotel higher than two stars. They truly made a difference in our experience. In summary, while the staff's service at Meliá Paris Vêndome is top-notch, the poor room conditions and discomfort caused by the heat significantly detract from the overall experience. This hotel does not live up to its four-star rating.

I had high hopes for this hotel, having such a central location, a four star rating and being part of a well established group of hotels - however, I was wrong to assume this would be a good stay. Firstly, the bed. AWFUL. I’d rather have slept on the carpet. Far too firm, I awoke feeling achy and like I’d been dragged down the Champ-Elysee by Macarons horses. No double or king size bed, but two very uncomfortable single beds that have been pushed together, I despair. Next, the decor. With dirty carpet, stained curtains, paint flaking off the wall and multiple areas of bubbling wallpaper (perhaps damp?) - this hotel needs a serious overhaul and in my view not worthy of its star rating or rate it commands. Lastly, the bathroom. No shower, only an overhead hose, that comfortably accommodates only people of a short disposition. Frankly, this is unacceptable for a modern chain of hotels in 2022. Despite being such a worldly hotel, the TV only has two channels in English, both rolling news channels - with no ability to connect Netflix or YouTube via Chromecast. The worst however is yet to come. Despite having a do not disturb sign on the door, a staff member enters our room at 9am whilst my partner was still asleep. This is done after two knocks on the door, with the first being met with an audible HELLO?! This didn’t deter the male member of staff walking in on my sleeping and undressed partner - allowing anyone walking by to have a peep. Any normal member of staff would have apologized and walked away. However not this gentleman. He wanted an ARGUMENT, and proceeded to put the blame onto me, I had to shut the door in his face for him to go away. In summary - avoid! Best staying elsewhere.

A hotel that can only be preferred for its location. It’s really hard for three people to fit in the elevator. There are two small elevators, and one of them was out of order. The lobby looks fancy, but the rooms are outdated. The rbathroom of our suite room was very tiny. The towels in the shower area ( and yes oddly shower and bathroom area were in two different places inside room) were clean but old. The room ventilation didn’t work; since our room faced the courtyard, we could only get fresh air by opening the windo. It's also strange how they try to save on ridiculous things. For example, the complimentary water was only provided on the first night. With the exception of first night we never received complimentary coffee capsules ( I guesss you get free cofee for first night only). How absurd. We have stayed for 4 consecutive nights and when we asked about water we were warned that “the complimentary water is only for the first night. They simply assume that as a tourist yoy will plan your day to carry water to your room or your only other oprion is to drink tap water! This hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars — at most, it’s a 2-star hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Melia Paris Vendome for three nights on the first leg of our honeymoon, and from the moment we stepped into the hotel we were impressed.

First off, the hotel smelled amazing (one of staff members said the fragrance was called 'Blue Velvet') and everything was super clean. The woman at the front desk who helped us check in was very polite and accommodating and even asked us if we preferred to speak in English, French or Spanish. We arrived early in the morning so our room wasn't ready, but they held our bags and contacted us the moment it was.

This being our first time in Paris, we were unsure if we'd picked a convenient spot, but let me tell you the location here is perfect. It's nice and central and located close to so many great restaurants and pastry shops (Angelina, Laduree, Brasserie Flottes, and Bistrot Richelieu are just a few in the immediate vicinity that we managed to check out). It's also right across the street from the Tuileries Garden, and close walking distance to the Louvre and multiple train stations. You can walk everywhere here! While we were waiting for our room, we hiked down the Champs-Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe and back—took us about an hour and a half round trip and was a great way to get the day started and kill some time.

As for the room itself, it was exactly what we wanted out of a Parisian hotel. Tons of Parisian charm, small but not uncomfortable, with nice views all around. The hotel even gifted us a bottle of champagne and a box of macarons with a personalized note welcoming us on our honeymoon. Such a nice gesture!

Part of our honeymoon package granted us access to their breakfast buffet. It was phenomenal! They had everything we could have asked for—meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, coffee, tea, cereals, yogurts, fruit, you name it. If, like me, you've only ever experienced continental breakfasts at American hotel chains, you'll be blown away. We didn't even feel bad not exploring other breakfast options around us, the buffet was that good.

Overall, what an incredible experience. Whether it's your first time visiting Paris or you've been here several times, consider giving this hotel a try during...

First, the room and breakfast were amazing. But if you’re like me who don’t know a word of French, the language barrier might cause issues. At first it wasn’t too bad. I asked the front desk if they could explain the silver level benefits for breakfast, as I just reached that level and I didn’t reserved the room with breakfast. I don’t think she understood me well, because she said I could use my points to cover it. I already used my points for another reservation and didn’t have any. Her colleague next to her seemed to understand me, because he explained it’s a 2in1 deal. I would order breakfast for myself and my companion would eat for free. And he told me to let the breakfast attendant know in the morning. Well in the morning, the breakfast attendant tried to get me to sign the tablet during our meal but it wasn’t going through. She asked if we could stop at the front desk. I was going to at check out, but on our way to the elevator she stopped my sister. I only got to her my sister let her know we’re going upstairs to grab some bags and we’ll be down. My sister and I had different flights at different airports. I was going to walk with her to the bus stop and come back to my room. So when we went to the front desk, the first thing I said was “I’m not checking out, but I wanted to take care of breakfast earlier because the tablet wasn’t working”. They knew about the situation already, told us the price and asked for a payment. As I’m walking out with my sister, I did say to her I hope they didn’t think I checked out….well fast forward back in my room, on the toilet, when an employee did come into my room!! So when I did check out two hours later, the front desk told me I was checked out already and I can go. But I’m trying to explain what happened, and I never checked out. She just kept saying “we misunderstood”. Either she wasn’t listening when I told her I wasn’t checking out, or it was a language barrier. It was a weird checkout, but I was still trying to talk, trying to say I took water from the minibar and she just kept cutting me off to say I’m good to go, it just felt like she was trying to...
