We were visiting from New York and just happened to be walking by and were warmly invited in via a sign on the sidewalk that Jacquart had just opened a small pop-up for casual tastings (without the full tour.) Gonzalo warmly greeted us and was SO much fun - he was knowledgeable about the champagne, helped us decide on which tastings we wanted, and was just a wealth of great information for the house. Really love that Jacquart opened up a casual pop-up to grab a simple glass - most other houses either have paid visitor tour experiences or are 'invite only'. Democratizing champagne and bringing people in to try the champagne and learn more about the house is hose you build great brand recognition and loyalty. The venue was unbearably hot with no air conditioning, and there were no seats provided during the tasting. What could have been an enjoyable visit was further let down by staff who were passive-aggressive and unwelcoming.
