Görlitzer Bahnhof is a small but convenient train station located in the vibrant Kreuzberg district, just a short walk from Markthalle Neun, which made it a perfect stop for us during our time exploring the area.
We really appreciated the simplicity of the station — no overwhelming crowds or confusing layouts. The signage was clear and easy to follow, which made navigating the platforms straightforward, even as first-time visitors to Berlin.
It’s not a massive or modern transit hub, but it doesn’t need to be — Görlitzer Bahnhof does exactly what you want it to: gets you where you’re going efficiently, with minimal hassle. It also puts you right in the heart of a culturally rich neighborhood full of great eats, coffee spots, and markets.
If you're heading to Markthalle Neun or planning to explore Kreuzberg, this is a very practical and accessible station to include...
Read moreI am surprised this station is open - given the fact it’s been under construction since I moved to Berlin. At the time that I lived there it probably didn’t function 7 months on and off for over a year an a half. The U1 is a shitshow, the people there are pushing all the time, and this line sometimes just randomly cancels. I am not sure what on earth keeps going wrong with the station but a capital of the fourth largest economy of the world should not be having a broken station for 7 months on a popular line that connects east and west. I was constantly late for work thanks to this awful line. And plus it’s weird st night.

Being toueists, I don't know what they were doing, either robing or dealing, I have no idea but one of them started following us and we felt very insecure for the first time in Berlin. I still don't know what was happening but we just left the place. I recommend avoiding the...
