One star is for the customer service , not the show. I travelled solo from Australia hence I have decided to skip dining in in the theatre. I have arrived the show at about 8:03pm , a friendly staff brought me to my table. I was holding a bottle of water with me and I naturally put in on my table. About 10 minutes after the show. A staff approached me, saying ‘ you can’t drink here’ and he put my bottle under the table. I said ‘I am sorry I didn’t know that’ . And I complied with his instructions, planning to keep watching the show. But what he said after that make me feel humiliated. He said ‘ this is fine dining, you are not allowed to drink here. I don’t want to see the bottle on the table again’ and it actually got the attention of audience around me coz he was raising his voice and treating me rudely. That ruined my whole night. Firstly, he could easily asked me to put away my water and kindly asked me if I would like to pay for a drink. That’s more professional and as I mentioned, I complied with his instructions after his first attempt already, he didn’t have to say those harsh words. I am more happy to pay for drinks and indeed I did pay as well. It was extremely rude and I found it is also racism of what he said. Secondly, even I chose not to dine in in the theatre, I have paid full price for the show. I believe I deserved a better service to enjoy the show, you can not discriminate customer simply because they didn’t dine in here. Lastly, I wasn’t trying to hide drink, it was just a bottle of water that I haven’t finished, and the staff who walked me into the theatre didn’t remind me hence I didn’t realise it is not ok to do so. As in Australia, you can bring water with you to a theatre. It is culturally different, However I am more than happy to comply and respect for that. This was a horrible experience and I didn’t enjoy it at all. No one should deserve this kind...
Read moreI'm on vacation in Berlin, and my hotel is located near this place. I was very intrigued by its extreme elegance and yesterday I went to inquire about a reservation at the restaurant and to understand what it was. I have nothing but praise for the guy who welcomed me; he was truly a lovely person, even though he was busy, and explained in detail, albeit with somewhat poor English, what it was (a theater). I asked if it was possible to eat there, and he said yes, but due to my arrival time, the restaurant was closed. He advised me to call the next day to make a reservation.
This morning, after getting dressed and having breakfast, I headed over to book a spot at the restaurant for the evening. However, what could have been a very pleasant experience turned quite unpleasant.
I arrived in the rain and left my scooter in front of the covered steps just to enter and ask for a reservation. But the girl (Davinka, I think) was really rude, treating me like I was a kid from the outskirts, brusquely telling me in German to move the scooter. I understood that from her gestures and tried to explain in English that I didn’t speak German, but she pretended not to understand. After getting annoyed, I moved the scooter, went inside, and saw her truly disgusted face. I asked to make a reservation, and she looked at me badly, saying "okay," but didn’t take my name. I asked, "Do I need to give you my name?" She took me to the tablet, started fiddling with it, then looked at me with disgust and asked how many we were. I said I was alone, and she responded rudely with "ONE?" Sorry for traveling solo.
I noticed she didn’t even assign me a table on the tablet. So I said goodbye, trying to be polite, but she didn’t even greet me back. She completely ruined my desire to try this place. I’m giving 2 stars only for the first guy.
Anyway i have been there at 20:30 and the place was closed....
Read moreWhat a great and memorable dinning experience.
I was brought here by some business partners in celebration of some recent accomplishments before the covid lockdown, and I was blown away by the quality of the show and how tasty the food was.
Quality wine paired with 3 course dinners and a tasty desert to cap it all with. Vegetarian option was available, but not sure about vegan option.
The show itself was astonishing with great musical numbers and impressive acrobatics. At the time I spoke nearly no German but it didn’t stop me at all from enjoying the fun. There were also some English scenes for those who are just visiting or recently arrived.
Halftime show allows for proper bathroom breaks and smokers go outside and gather out front while some of the cast comes out to socialize and entertain as they do in between segments and at the end. Very friendly!
Parking is available nearby, but easy to get to as well by foot or public transport.
Not the kind of show I normally see, but was very grateful to have been exposed to this great experience and would happily attend in the...
