Sticky Fingers Restaurant & Terrasse — Restaurant in Cologne

22.08.2020 Slow and poor service. We had dinner here for the first time and won't be coming back.

I ordered a burger and said no ketchup but I received one with it. I wanted to confirm if the sauce was indeed ketchup so I tried to catch attention of waiter cleaning the tables outside but twice he ignored me. He saw me both times. My bf just brought my plate back and was immediately replaced with another one. The kitchen staff was very stressed.

Upon checking there was no cheese and bacon. I caught the attention of a lady who looked liked the manager and she told us she can't help me and I have to talk to someone inside. Maybe it was just the english but this is no way for a manager to respond. The cashier came out and I showed her what I received and told the original issue which is I ordered one without ketchup and she said 'I don't think so'. She was actually arguing with me. Just wow. My German bf was appalled of the behavior. German customer service at its finest.

After another 20 mins or so I got the replacement. By then my bf already finished his food and my fries were already too cold.

Btw, the burger was not thoroughly cooked (see pic). The taste was nothing special either, in fact it was not good at all. Bathrooms were also dirty. Such a disappointment considering this belongs to the Hyatt group. 1 star...

Read the reviews when looking for places to eat whilst staying over night in Colongne so was shocked at our personal experience. We know it was self serving and order at the counter then collect when ready not an issue. Little confused as to why the card machine was asking if we wanted to tip when you seat your self, order at the till and collect yourself and put your tray and dirty plates at designated clearing station, plus you haven't even tried your food? Personally for us it's a no massively over priced for what was received. Only order 2 fries a burger and 2 drinks 54 euros. Ordered truffle parmesan fries 15 euros alone only they were fries with a sprinkle of parmesan and truffle mayonnaise not the same thing. Would not have order if it had been advertised as this. My husbands burger was cheap quality meat that tasted almost artificial and was dripping in fat/grease that had soaked the bun. Charges for condiments too 🙄. The only good thing I can say was the fries alone were good and food was hot. I did try one of the berry cocktail drinks and that was nice and refreshing. Over all probably wouldn't go back. Belive it's owed by the hotel behind it. Location is nice though and bet it's packed in the summer as nice view of the cathedral from over the bridge. Stop for a drink but that would...

The Sticky Fingers Restaurant and Terrasse is run by the World of Hyatt Group and it has an interesting concept: It does not have table service and it is solely self-service and the food is bar & finger food with burgers, french fries, beer sides, etc etc…

Actually this concept is understandable because the Grissini Restaurant in next door directing the clients to Sticky Fingers who only wants to have beer in their terrace to watch the lovely view… So Sticky Fingers welcomes the clients who only want to have beer, or burgers etc with a casual way… and Grissini welcomes some kibd of finer dining… Furthermore Sticky Fingers is open beyond the times of Grissini…

For us dining in Sticky Fingers was casual and it was comfortable… During our one week stay in Köln, we visited the Sticky Fingers once and it was nice…

The food is beer-food, fast-food type as you can understand from the name and it was nice, the staff attentive, and the view was perfect; clearly seas everything; the Dom Cathedral, Museum, Bridge, the Rhine… they are just in front of you…

We recommended the Sticky Fingers to beer and comfort...
