The place to be on Thursdays and Saturdays when you want to grab fresh, local products and have a drink among locals. The different sellers have very good, mainly local, products, like fuits, vegetables, cheeses, meat, etc. Best place to get, for example, beef from a farm in Trebur (north-eastern corner). Besides the groceries, having a glass of wine, apple wine, or beer is important. All drinks are from wineries and breweries from the region, of the highest quality, and for a reasonable price. Try the dark beer from the brewery in the center (mainly available in the winter months until spring) or the Sommercuvee from Rolander...

It gets pretty boring after you visited a couple of times though it is a good place to buy some quality (but also pricier) produces (vegies, meats, cheeses, fruits, honey, fresh juices, jams, pickles, etc.), from local or regional farmers or to enjoy a glass of Riesling, Sekt or the like from regional winemakers or to taste some German street foods. It is a representative example of German farmers' market. They are open only twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays. It appears to be quite a popular place for seniors and retirees to hang around with a drink...

Weekend’s farmers market takes place on every Thursday and Saturday. You can buy bio- vegetables and fruits there. I buy a lot of apples. There are some booths with Wein, Apfelwein, Beer and fresh prepared snacks. My favorite local Wein is Riesling. Very tasty. In the Autumn there is a time of Federweißer - young sweet Wein. Grilled sausage with ketchup and mustard is also what I like to buy usually - not that expensive. There are plenty of other tasty food for different preferences there. Highly recommend to visit with family, friends and colleagues.

An absolute MUST when in Frankfurt! I just happened to be in Frankfurt on a Saturday and discovered this gem. It’s only open in Thursday’s and Saturday’s. It’s like a cross between a farmers market and a food festival. Everything here was so fresh and delicious. Everyone said to try the Apple wine but I personally didn’t find it that amazing since it was quite sour. Definitely come here on an empty stomach since there are so many amazing different foods to try!
