Hotel Spenerhaus — Hotel in Frankfurt

I was backpacking through Europe and found myself near this hotel at a church to rest after extensively hiking the city and enjoying the festival into the late hours. I needed a nap. The receptionist left the hotel and came over to the church demanding that I leave the area. She, nor that hotel owns that church, the property it sits on, or the street between them. I'll also mention that it was over 90 fahrenheit and the sun was beating down, and this was the only place around I could nap without the sun in my face. She kept saying really rude and DESPICABLE things to me in German, because she assumed I couldn't understand it and only understand English since I'm American. I smoked a cigarette and then went into the hotel to discuss her disgusting behaviour, and she was the most hateful, rude, SNOB I've ever met in my life and the hotel staff just snickered at me and chuckled like they're better than me. I took pictures and video of the incident and will not be letting this slide. In the last 3 months that I've been traveling Europe, I've NEVER encountered such a rude SNOB in my life. I don't think I've encountered anyone so rude and pompous even in America. This hotel doesn't view people as people. You're money to them and if they ASSUME you are poor or a budget traveler, they have the worst attitudes you may ever see anywhere in the world. She even laughed in my face when I told her I'm a world traveler--- yet here I am in Frankfurt, Germany and OBVIOUSLY from The United States, so, duh??? I've traveled to more countries than she ever will, what a joke, try to humiliate me like that. I find it amusing that a hotel receptionist tried to humiliate me, when my backpacking gear costs double what she makes in an entire month. This all basically comes down to being the worst I have ever been treated anywhere in the world, and I will not just let this slide--- it is NOT okay to treat ANYONE the way she treated me, and then call the police and waste their time because she's too scared to handle problems like a FUNCTIONAL ADULT! I never raised my voice or cussed at her, and her first response is to just waste the time of police. What a worthless person. Don't stay at this hotel and allow people like HER to keep getting a paycheck. In all honesty, you can find WAY nicer and more pleasant accomodation here...

We will definitely stay here again! The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was AMAZING with great pubs and restaurants within easy and safe walking distance. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Bedding is nice soft high quality. |||| No air conditioning but they had a very nice fan in our room.
