The museum itself and the big lecture hall were quite uninteresting, even with the free audio tour. However, the student prison was a place worth seeing, and the audio guide told its story in a funny and informative way. A big plus for the working eduroam wifi...

No explanation in English on the pre-1900history of the University, very rude staff, all jackets have to be left at the entrance, good luck not catching a cold...This museum does a poor job at reflecting the strong heritage of...

An sich interessantes Museum über die Geschichte der Universität Heidelberg. Museumspädagogisch jedoch leider nicht mehr auf dem neuesten Stand. Die Texte auf den Tafeln sind einerseits extrem kompliziert, altmodisch und hochgestochen formuliert, sodass sie nicht für jeden verständlich sind. Hinzu kommt, dass die Texttafeln nicht barrierearm sind: der Kontrast zum Hintergrund ist extrem gering und noch dazu spiegelt das Glas. Hier sollte dringend nachgebessert werden!

Er wird bis zum heutigen Tag für Universitäre Veranstaltungen und offensichtlich auch für musikalische Darbietungen genutzt. Im Erdgeschoss wird die lange und wechselhafte, interessante Geschichte der Universität mit allen Höhen und Tiefen, allen schönen und auch dunklen Zeiten dargestellt. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.
