SIGNORPIZZA HEIDELBERG — Restaurant in Heidelberg

The pizza itself is good, no complaints about the food. But the way the place is run is questionable. The owner/manager (not sure which) behaves very immaturely and comes across as strange rather than friendly.

Out of simple curiosity I asked how many pizzas they make daily. A professional response would have been “we don’t disclose that” or giving me a rough number. Instead, I got: “Are you from the Finanzamt? Can I see your ID?” – maybe meant as a joke, but it wasn’t funny, just weird and uncomfortable. A joke is only a joke if both sides can laugh.

Then at the cashier, I was given my change almost entirely in 2-cent coins. When I asked “really?”, the response was dismissive, even though they had other change. And once it was clear I’d be leaving a review, the behavior became even more childish – trying to take away the pizza I had already paid for.

They know how to make good pizza, but running a business requires professionalism and basic respect for customers. I genuinely hope they fix this childish behavior, because the food...

We came across this small pizza shop while walking down the main street of Heidelberg. We were really hungry, so we decided to grab a slice.

For €4.99, it was definitely on the expensive side for a single slice, but honestly, I loved it. The pizza was really good in my opinion, though not everyone in our group felt the same. Some thought it was just okay, so I guess it depends on personal taste.

Even though I usually don’t like pizzas with thick crusts, I actually didn’t mind this one at all because it was just that good. If I’m ever really hungry, passing by again, and happen to have a spare €5, I’d definitely get another slice.

Inside it is pretty small, but there are seats outside. In the summer, you can sit outside, enjoy the extra space, and soak in the nice weather. In winter, though, that might not be the...

If you want good, Italian pizza - COME HERE!! Could not be more obsessed with this place!! Yummy pizza with an especially tasty and crunchy crust (I always asked for extra basil oil on top too - so good!!) for a fantastic price! Whether I came before my classes in the morning or after clubbing in the middle of the night, the pizza was hot and tasty. Will miss you guys! Can’t wait to stop by again my next time...
