60 years to never coming again in this restaurant again
Your bad waiter experience starts with when you are waiting to be seated and you see the waiter from very far away making weird signs with his hand like đ«”đ«žđ to show where you should sit.
Then the waiter comes and asks us what we want to drink and we said we dont want drinks we only want to eat and he gives the judgiest face ever as if its mandatory to order drinks. (We were a group of 3 and we ordered 3 pizzas so everyone had a meal)
Then our foods came which were not that bad. The cheese and dough was really good but i cant say the same thing about uncooked tomato paste/juice. Overall i dont think they worth their price. 16⏠is too much for a single pizza and it is even that big- the crust is just very wide. (oh and small note: they wrote that margarita has basilicum in it and it came with a single leaf of basilicum on top, i guess thats what i should have expected since it doesnt say âbasilicumsâ. )
And then my friend wanted to drink something in the middle of our dinner and she simply asks waiter to come over and the waiter just looks her in the eye, comes near our table and ghosts my friend lefting her read on real life. 2 minutes later he comes again with a really annoyed face, didnt say anything not even ok or alright and leaves.
As if these are not enough to ruin or mood, the moment we finish our food the waiter comes with the wallet, trying to make us pay but again without talking to us. We didnât even know how to react so he just leaves without saying a word. I would have understood if the restaurant was crowded but there were already so many empty tables for new customers.
Then we decide to pay and called the waiter. This time he tried everything to not look at our table. All 3 of us tried to call him for 20 MINUTES so that we can pay. I understand that he may be busy but at some point he went to the bar and started chatting with the random guy sitting over there. Then decided that it was the best time to reorganize the empty pizza boxes, talk with other waiters/waitresses. He literally started walking faster when he was near our table to ignore us but he has no problem chatting with the table next to us who ordered drinks with their food.
Then when we were paying he tried to take all the money from my friend and he made the annoyed face again when we said we want to pay separately. I was the last one to pay and he literally threw the screen at me and looking very closely to see if i am tipping. Ofcourse i didnât tip bad service and he left the table when he saw that i didnt pick tipping option and didnt even bother to give me a receipt.
I tried to look for the name of the guy who served us but he didnât wear a name tag but i hope somebody talks with the manager about this guys attitude. But the other waiters/waitresses are actually nice and communicate with you as a normal person.
One of the worst restaurant...
Read moreThis is the Karlsruhe branch of a German chain of pizzerias, and they bake Neapolitan pizzas. Curiously, they use electric ovens from Izzo (Izzo is an AVPN-certified Italian manufacturer that pioneered electric-only ovens). When I visited, the thermostat was set to 450°C. A primary benefit of the unorthodox heat source is uniform baking thanks to precise temperature control and heat distribution. Please note that it is nearly impossible to tell the taste difference between pizzas based on the heating element of the baking oven.
Toppings with designated origins are explicitly stated on the menu and include the tomato sauce and certain types of cheese (they have DOP certified buffalo milk Mozzarella, Provolone, and Parmigiano Reggiano).
I think the taste is pretty similar to the other branches, but they occasionally over-bake the pizzas. Despite claiming to use San Marzano DOP tomatoes, in my last visit, I found the taste uncharacteristically acidic and tangy.
The restaurant itself is nice, clean, and operated professionally. The staff members are generally helpful. This particular branch is quite large, with an exceptionally high ceiling and two electric ovens that can accommodate multiple doughs. This means they are prepared/equipped to deal with rush hour customer traffic.
Overall, I think it is a good place to experience Neapolitan-style pizzas. Although they are not an AVPN certified pizzeria, they can replicate the authentic...
Read moreA popular Neapolitan-style pizzeria known for its authentic wood-fired pizzas made with high-quality ingredients.
The restaurant is named after the quick cooking time of its pizzasâjust 60 seconds in the traditional Neapolitan oven.
The menu features a variety of classic and specialty pizzas, along with appetizers like burrata and prosciutto. The dessert menu currently offers a Dubai chocolate pizza, a popular ingredient that has recently taken Germany by storm.
The dough is soft and airy, with a signature charred crust, while the toppings include fresh tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, and other Italian imports. For some, perhaps too much of the pizza is composed of crust, leaving little room for the actual sauce and toppings.
The ambiance is very loud, casual and visually inviting, making it a great spot for a meal with friends or family.
Reservations are recommended during peak hours, as it can get busy.
Keep in mind that service may lean toward the efficient rather than leisurely, consistent with its fast-cooking concept, but you might find yourself waiting a while if you donât flag...
