What a wonderful experience, don't miss it It's hard to put into words what it's all about but here we go When you enter the lighting is quite subdued The photographs are amazing, so good you will take photographs of the photographs but you are always aware of ths mass hanging from the ceiling The mass is a 3d representation of the Matehorn. You can see all the fields at the bottom flowing through the the craggy out crops, then the peak of the mountain Sitting below it, it is awe inspiring The mountain is bathed in light at different times of day and night you can see the shadows cast by the sun and moon If this wasn't enough you become aware of what looks like a very calm lake underneath the mountain We walked down towards it, there were quite a few people looking into this calm lake When I approached and looked into the lake I had to , " pull back " in what I can only describe as fear, because it wasn't a lake but a massive mirror and when you looked into it you could see the Matterhorn as if you were dangling from a helicopter suspended above the mountain Now, I have a ridiculous fear of heights and had to steel myself before even looking over the edge of the mirror I honestly frightened the wits out of me We walked around it, it must be around 100 feet in diameter and I still was unable to look into it with any sort of ease It was incredibly and won't have done it any justic with my words Go and see it, you won't be...

Not really for kids...

Got there around 11am on a Sunday, queue was relatively short. About 20 people in front of us. As we approached the front entrance, about 30 people walked up to the door trying to get in as "they'd bought tickets online...", like they were the 'only' people in the world who knew to do this. The people in the queue (us included) had also bought tickets online because it's 2024, not 1997...

Somehow, they weren't challenged by the person scanning the tickets and allowed to enter. When we got out tickets scanned, the feedback was "it's a little chaotic today".

Got inside and it wasn't curated great: you could go on any direction, which meant that if you were looking at a photo, someone might decide to get a closer look and proceed to walk in front of you.

As a brit, living in Germany, by this point I was already annoyed, so then went to listen to the immersive sounds of the ocean. Strange experience and one where the kids quickly lost interest as it's literally a CD of noises and only two small screens showing what's making the noise.

Could've been a real interactive experience, instead it was a lot of photos and chaos...

Don't think it's suitable for kids less than 10.

When we left, after about an hour, queue was ridiculously long, with the same situation of people walking to the front as they believe they have the divine right, having bought...

Lovely experience! The images of the exhibition were beautiful and interesting, although many of them were also heartbreaking. The exhibition is about the fragility of the earth and mankind's impact on the world we live in. There are English translations almost everywhere, if that's something you're looking for!

Of course, the main attraction here is the massive globe hanging on the 3rd floor, which is just an absolute treat to look at and already plenty reason to visit! There are a few stairs to sit or lay on, as well as a few large pillows to get a little more comfortable with. You need a little luck if you're looking to score one of those, though, as there aren't all that many if it's a little busier. The globe shows various views of the world, such as shipping and flight routes or typical wind flow.

There is also one elevator in the building that will take you to the roof of the building with a stunning view of the globe as you travel up. Usually, the big queue to enter prevents some from experiencing it so I'd like to share a little tip: there is an accessible elevator moving up the staircase outside. We hadn't seen anyone use this, and there was absolutely no queue! You can then descend down the main elevator in the building for the same experience as there is hardly a queue to go back down.

Overall very enjoyable,...

Had a great experience here during the photo exhibits. As an amateur wildlife photographer, exhibits of wildlife and nature photography are always great to admire. The current exhibit features many amazing photographs of experienced photographers. Many of which have works that you've probably seen pass by if you are active on social media. What makes the exhibit as Gasometer so unique is definitely the building itself. Makes for an amazing setting and adds value to the photographs. The room you enter in really puts the emphasis on the images that are spread around the room and really pop due to the print quality. The third room with the large globe projection is also a very unique feature that leaves a great impression! I would really recommend to pay a visit while the exhibit is still open!
