60 seconds to napoli — Restaurant in Oberhausen

We came in on January 1st around 3pm for a late lunch.

We sat on the first floor as we wanted to watch the pizza making process and ended up seeing things we didn’t want to see.

It is important to mention January 1st as it was the first day of their special menus. The briefings were taped on the kitchen wall and the cooks were touching those laminated paper with their gloves on and then proceeded with the pizza making - not very hygienic. At some point a lady with a pink beanie who appeared to be the manager came in to give more instructions, directly using the empty pizza plates to rest her briefing papers - also not hygienic.

A few times, we saw two of the waiters, playing with the empty plates as if they were a DJ set - those same plates which are used to serve the pizzas.

But the most horrendous was seeing one of the cooks putting a drop of parmigiano mayonnaise on his finger - whilst wearing a glove - and then licked it before continuing to dress other pizzas - without changing gloves.

It would be beneficial to train the staff on hygiene measures at a restaurant.

As a side note - as it appears less important compared to hygiene: water glasses were dirty, the Pepsi drink we received wasn’t the one ordered and the Arnie pizza only had fior di latte and was missing the...

First i want to start why the 1star. Simply because of the hygiene standards. Me and a friend dined in, we ate a GambaZamba and a Mortadella Burata Pizza. While receiving the pizza we asked 3-4 times for a knife and none came, until the last asking, then we got one... We were supposed to share i guess.

Until then it was a 3star worth situation, while i didnt like the tomato sauce, everything else seemed delicious. Then the main issue occured, the cook didnt just threw 4pizzas in the floor in 10min while he was trying to play with the pizza in a cool way, no he also stores the spatulas he uses for turning the pizzas in the oven, face down on the main floor. First I thought, good maybe they keep that area clean, but no, seconds later another server is cleaning the area with a broom literally collecting dust and dirt next to the spatula, where the cook grabs it to massage the dirt from the floor into the next pizza. I felt sick and we left after paying. This grossed me out in so many ways, i will never ever eat nor recommend that place....

Having eaten at the Bilk location the previous day. We decided to take our parents and our child to this location. Sadly it was an extremely bad experience. The pizzas didn't match up to bilk literally what we ate 1 meal before. Secondly I had ordered the caesar salad. I have eaten this salad at multiple restaurants and countries. This was one of the worst ones ever. I couldn't even finish it. And would you guess the price? €18. Felt super cheated and alsl wasted the horrible thing that was served to us. I would suggest trying other locations. Also despite the feedback nothing was offered by the waiter having seen I couldn't...
