I wanted to take the time to write a review having arrived home yesterday from a 7 night stay at the Oasis Hotel Apartments as we had such an amazing time. Before arriving I had reservations having read the mixed reviews. We chose this hotel as we travelled over for a wedding and the hotel was between the Church and reception venue and also appealed to us as a family.||||We travelled with our 11 month baby. Despite a lot of the booking websites saying that cots were not available (therefore we took our own travel cot), we were offered one at the hotel and there was plenty of space to set our travel cot up within the bedroom of our suite.||||We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the pool was busy with reasonably loud music (as it was on Saturday during the day). Our room overlooked the pool but the noise didn't bother us at all. During the week the music is chilled and quieter and cannot be heard from the room. A lot of the photos don't show the parasols around the pool - as we had a baby we were always able to find a shady area to sit around the pool. The main sunbeds are in the sun but you can get one and set it up in the shade if you prefer. There are also a lot of trees around the complex offering shade also. The pool bar and menu is extensive and we always found something to eat and drink. Thank you also to Giorgio for his special cocktail! ||||The breakfast is served 7am - 10am and there was always plenty to choose from. The waiters even brought over food for our baby by their own effort and there were several high chairs available to use. They were all so friendly towards us and our baby, always making him smile and entertaining him!||||The hotel is next to the main road, and traffic can be heard - however it didn't affect us at all. When the room air conditioning is on the traffic noises were dulled and our baby actually slept through the night without waking each night (something he doesn't do at home!). The kitchenette area meant we had space to wash up his bottles and I could sterilise them with boiled water (there isn't a microwave but there is an oven and small hob). The beds were spacious and very comfortable and the room made up each day with fresh towels. Pool towels are provided by reception. Our room had smart TV's in both the living area and bedroom meaning we could log into Netflix / YouTube / Amazon Prime if we wanted.||||We used the tram quite frequently (tram stop about 5/10 min walk down towards the beach). It cost 9 EURO each for a 5 day pass and we used it to travel further up the coast most evenings to visit various beach bars in the Kalamaki Beach area. We also travelled into main Glyfada where there are loads of shops and restaurants (it's a 10/15 minute walk but it was very hot for us!). We also used it to travel into Athens which requires one change in tram lines but we found it easy to navigate. We relied more on Google Maps for the times, as at some of the stops the display isn't always accurate but we never had any issues, aside from the machines at lot of the stops being broken - we bought our tickets once we arrived in Athens and you just tap them in the tram on the contactless machine. The pavements aren't the best along the main road but we managed to navigate them fine with a pram. There is a pedestrian crossing just down from the hotel so you can get down towards the beach. There is also a supermarket towards Glyfada about a 10 minute walk where we picked up essentials for the baby. We also used taxis - either ones we jumped into or Uber also worked well.||||The staff really make the hotel - nothing was too much trouble, they made so much effort to make us feel welcome. We would love to return to the area and explore further next time.||||Thank you so much to everyone at Oasis Hotel Apartments for a very...
Read moreThe Hotel is an overall very well maintained Hotel. You see that it is not the newest but it has everything you need. Tho if you book a room with a kitchen prepare for there to be no utensils what so ever! You have to get everything from reception! Staff was nice but in some instances they don’t have very good communication. For instance one day being at the pool and jumping in is okay but the other day you’re being told off for jumping in and having fun. Or one day you’re totally okay having breakfast outside and the other you’re being told that normally breakfast isn’t outside and they won’t lay out cutlery. Overall very confusing in the way of not knowing what you’re allowed to do now and what not. Plus as two girls in there twenties we felt a bit treated as we were rowdy teenagers and we can’t be trusted even tho we are very nice people! Room service was also very weird. They cleaned everyday which is obviously very nice tho they never left the pillows on the same bed and they took a bunch of our Towels away plus the slippers after us not using them after one day ( we stayed 7 days )which is super odd!
Hotel is also a 20 min walk from the main city which is relaxing after having Lunch and then having to walk home on the beach. We liked that very much but if you’re not into walking there is also a bus going into town! The hotel is on a super loud street tho so if you can sleep with a Main Street outside then this hotel isn’t anything for you!
Overall the hotel is very nice and staff can be also very nice. Tho being younger looking and in our twenties we felt like being treated differently which was not very relaxing. Would recommend it but only for 30...
Read moreMy review is strictly based on the guests and their lack of following the pool rules and behaviour but most importantly their hygiene which ruins it for others who pay and respsect the hotel and pool area and takes away from a truly nice facility.
The pool is very nice and big with a beautiful rock fountain going into the pool. There are beautiful tall trees that really add warmth to the facility. The service is more like self service rather than a waiter/ress to come take your order when at the lounge chairs which is nice. The only days I would avoid coming here is on the weekends. The type of customers are dramatically different and they don't follow the rules. They jump into the pool without taking a shower and they don't respect the rules of the pool area (young and older ages)
Today a whole team of about 12 young boys came (Oympiakos) local team yelling and jumped into the pool without a proper bathing suit and did not even take a shower. They were careless of the area and so was the coach. I'm surprised they let him in with such a careless team, the lifeguard even commented to the coach "but they aren't even wearing bathing suits" and the coach just shrugged his shoulders and nodded as it wasn't a big deal and continued on.
Also, I noticed almost every guest going straight into the pool without showering first, it's a shame!
Other than that I will still be going there and I do still...
