Third visit to Tartare in Glyfada and have to write a review and share photos from my visits .
The restaurant has a well crafted menu adapted slightly to local palette.
Each time I have visited the ambience inside is calm and yet elegant . The staff is very well trained in all aspects of the menu and describing it in detail . Service is very good and adds to the experience. The waiter will ask if a chocolate soufflé will be desired for desert as it is specially crafted and takes a while to be prepared . Say yes !
Dinner started with warm buttered bread toasted and cocktails . We ordered the chèvre salad with little beef fillet pieces and sautéed mushrooms . Both very nice .
Steaks were entrecôte and fillet . Sides of thinly cut French fries is enormous. Sauce cafe de Paris is a must to try . Easily a sauce I could smother on everything.
Desert time came and the chocolate soufflé was prepared table side . It is rich and decadent flavored served with a side of crème . Pour the crème on the soufflé and watch it absorb ! Delicious way to end a dinner . I also had a wonderful desert at another visit of a pavlova with berries . Equally delicious.
Certainly a restaurant not for every day as it is on the more expensive side , it the quality and the service...

The meal was simple but good (we can't talk about French gastronomy anyway ..). We were on vacation so dressed casual. Wealthier customers enter the restaurant and are served instantly. We still wanted to have a dessert and a coffee .. but after 45 minutes of waiting we did not give up. The servers are too busy with "prestigious" customers. The grilled salmon steak was burnt on top and over cooked. The beef paillard was also overcooked and not flat enough making it lumpy and difficult to cut. The service was intermittent.
