I have just come back from a week stopping here with my boyfriend and wow , what a beautiful place. The staff cannot do enough for you , they are so friendly and kind. Our room was beautiful and clean , we loved our balcony with a great view and lovely place to sit and watch the sunset , the bathroom was quirky and different, I loved it. The only downside was that there was only one sunbed on our balcony , not two, however we didn’t mind this as it was a bonus to have a sunbed on our balcony anyway. There was a lovely sofa seat outside and another chair too so there was plenty of places to sit.The hotel was small , quiet and relaxed , you never struggled to get a sunbed at any time of the day near the pool. The pool was small, but just the right size for the hotel. The pool and sunbed area was just so lovely with the view. It was the perfect, relaxed vibe. The sunbeds were so comfortable too. The hotel breakfast was like a buffet style breakfast it had a nice variety of hot and cold options, lots of pastries and cakes , the staff at breakfast handed us some lovely cakes to our table to try most mornings. This was lovely , it was a nice small breakfast place to sit, again chilled and relaxed which is the main vibe of this hotel. The hotel was located very close to Ornos town which you can get a bus easily there every half an hour to the main town ( Little Venice ) for only €2 each. Ornos town itself was quieter than the main town but was still lively but not overcrowded which we really liked. It had a nice vibe to it and lots of nice places to eat. I would recommend Apaggio restaurant, this was beautiful. And Farina Cucina Italiana , I had a lovely carbonara there. There were also a few supermarkets with a lot of variety inside. We opted for a room with a fridge in Aelia , so we could buy some stuff from the supermarket to place in there. Also there were some nice breakfast and lunch spots in Ornos. We loved Degu for sandwiches . We really loved stopping around the Ornos area , It is nice to stop here and then go out into the busy areas but know when you come back to your hotel it’s going to be nice and quiet , and not rowdy. If you are looking for a chilled place to stop I would really recommend Aelia , we had a great time, it...
Read moreSmall hotel which is located around 5 minutes walk outside of Ornos, with fantastic views out across the sea. This is a small, more informal hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. ||Rooms, we had a room on the upper floor which had lovely views out across the sea and also large terrace area. If there is one suggestion here - add another sun lounger as presently only equipped with one. The room was spotlessly clean, with full shutters on the windows which really do black out all light. Shower room is not fancy but perfectly adequate. Very comfortable large bed.||Pool area, it is small but during out stay, never crowded as most people go off exploring the island.||Breakfast. It was a little limited, particularly if you stay for a week (as we did). Again being a little critical, they do begin to clear away breakfast before 10.30am and the cooked food was not always piping hot. ||In terms of accessibility, easy walk along the road to Ornos (note no pavement as such but it is ok to as long as you are sensible!) and from Ornos regular bus connection (2 per hour) into Mykonos town and Ornos beach around max 10 mins from the hotel. Should highlight that in case you are on foot, it is a bit of a steep climb up the access road to the hotel. If you rent a car or scooter, then perfect base to explore the island if you want a more relaxed, quiet hotel away...
Read moreJust booked one night to be close to the airport after our stay in Paros. Wish we booked longer. The hotel is small and perfect the staff make you feel at home especially Katerina. Rooms so lovely and modern. Bed is like an extra king size bed and so comfortable! I didn’t wake up with a back ache! The shower was the best I’ve had at any hotel I’ve stayed in. The infinity pool was lovely and plenty of sun loungers as guests tend to go out. Alex the manager even jumped off his scooter to quickly help us with our luggage 🤣 Ornos town is only a 5 min walk but no paths so be careful! The beach there looks lovely with clear waters, lots of sunbeds to hire and restaurants. The bakery on the corner has lots of baguette, cakes etc wish I could have ate them all! Bus into Mykonos town took around 5 min and only €2. So many restaurants to choose from all around the windy internal streets. Minimum fare for taxi...
