our visit to Porto Ornos Beach during our stay in Mykonos was an utter disappointment. The staff was shockingly rude, going out of their way to ignore us. When we finally managed to get their attention, it took them ages to bring basics such as a towel or a bottle of water, on average maybe around 40 minutes each. We even got replied ‘later’ when we asked for a bottle of water and after 30 minutes, they managed to bring us a very hot water bottle under the 40 degrees heat as if she was having a laugh with us.
All the staff working acted as if they do not care about the visitors of this beach and as if they are forced to work here with no respect at all. Overall, they were all very very slow and unhelpful.
The service was terrible, but the food was even worse. One of our dishes had a dead fly in it, and when we pointed this out, the staff had the audacity to blame us for it.
If you care about decent service and quality food, avoid Porto Ornos Beach. This place is not worth your time or money. Rather than having a relaxing day at the beach, it was a terrible visit. I would definitely not be retuening to Porto Ornos beach and definitely do not recommend anyone else to visit and...
Read moreA gratuitous 3 stars overall... based on other reviews, it sounds like we were fortunate to have some charming live traditional Greek bouzouki music while dining - I would describe the atmosphere and adjacency to the beach as charming and convenient. Many hotels surround this restaurant and we opted to dine there on our first night arriving to Mykonos due to proximity convenience and an array of traditional Greek menu items. The Saginaki reminded me of the State's equivalent of bar served cheese sticks, but a Greek variant instead - the dish literally looked like a square Toaster Strudel and left a fair amount of room for improvement... For our main course, we shared the fresh sea bream fish entree - beyond gutting the fish, there appeared to be no further attention to preperation, seasoning or accoutrements... The 'vegetable' side dish was either straight out of the can or intentionally made bland, unfortunately, it was not edible. Otherwise, between the lovely atmosphere and chance music, I would give this spot a...
Read moreWent there a few days ago. This is the worst beach bar in Greece. I have been to over 70 so far and I can honestly say the people here are a disgrace to Greece and to themselves. First, the beach staff told us to sit wherever and the cost is 40 EUR for 2 lounges. Then after 15 mins, a girl from their restaurant comes down and tells us those are security employees and they lied. We cannot sit there. And if we sit somewhere in the back it's 50 EUR for 2 lounges. Her attitude was awful and none of the staff took responsibility. We left and that was the best decision. Do yourself a favor and run from this location. Go to the end of the beach, there are much much nicer places there with...
