While I generally avoid leaving negative reviews, especially for new businesses, I felt compelled to share my experience in this case. We found T-Veg while on a day visit to Lindos and we were looking forward to tasting a plant based version of Greek style cuisine , but the dining experience itself left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the food presentation fell short of expectations, with small portions that were disproportionately overpriced (even for Lindos, Rhodes), especially considering the plant-based nature of the dishes, The terrace view at T-Veg was a plus though. The menus were vague, failing to accurately describe the actual contents of the meals. As a result, We left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. It's perplexing to understand why plant-based food, which often involves more affordable ingredients, should be so costly. Given the abundance of fresh produce available in Rhodes, it's disappointing that the restaurant couldn't offer more substantial portions and more reasonable prices. The ingredients listed on the menu didn't align with what was served in my opinion, suggesting a lack of quality and depth in the dishes. For example, the vegetarian souvlaki was one skewer with a few soya pieces and some onion/peppers with a handful of chips. Where were the tomatoes, cucumbers, fried potatoes and extra protein pieces ? We have visited Tavernas in Rhodes previously and ordered Greek style vegetarian dishes but portion sizes were always large and included free extras (e.g. breads, pita, dips, olives etc.), but T-Veg did not have anything like this, this is more of a cafe with restaurant prices. I would suggest the chef needs to focus on improving the quality, quantity of the food to truly satisfy their customers. I wish you all the best and hope that any critique might be...
Read moreI attended my partner's (VeryFlaney from a recent review) and it just goes to show how much clientele is valued at this place in the response given to this review. Everyone is satisfied, but so far. So the people who are not satisfied don't matter? I'll happily explain: In the Netherlands for example, when a customer is not satisfied, the kitchen shows some form of shame or at least customer service and the customer is beckoned to their wish. For a non-vegan example: when a steak is rare instead of well done, this dish is adjusted for the customer to their wishes, because guess what... the customer pays for this dish. As if I never cook and don't know what al dente is and when I pay for my food to be cooked for me, it is at least as good as when i cook it myself. If I mention my pasta is undercooked, I don't expect an explanation of what al dente is, but this chef cannot understand that. Unfortunately, this was not the case and I prefer to cook at home than ever eat at this place again. Next to that, my partners dish and my dish came 10 minutes apart. My partner got offered a new other (!) dish instead of the risotto, but they didn't offer to bring my dish at the same time as her new dish, talk about having a nice dinner together. As a finish, they asked about 5 times if everything was okay, before the food was served. But after the food came (finally the two together) they didn't ask anything and didn't look at the table anymore, while I wouldn't mind an extra drink. But after this discussion came forward, I didn't want to spend an extra dime in this place ever again. Sorry for denting your pride in your streak of good reviews, but if i were you, I'd begin to listen to the first less good reviews because we are more known to pasta...
Read moreI ordered a risotto, and my partner had a pasta dish. Unfortunately, both the risotto and pasta were very chewy and, in our opinion, undercooked. When we brought this to the server’s attention, he argued with us and started explaining what al dente means. He went to the kitchen and came back with an explanation about the rice, saying that it’s supposed to be that way. Apparently, they don’t understand the concept of listening to the customer.
There was no consideration for the fact that we’d have to eat separately if something new were prepared, and no one bothered to ask if we wanted another drink. In short it was disappointing. Also al dente does not mean al dentist, because no pasta or risotto should be chewed this hard.
Edit: It was not even about the dishes not being to our liking’s, it was how YOU handled it. Very, very...
