Estia — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Can only judge it by when I went. But still can't understand why people are saying it's the best gyros they have ever had. Can't imagine their expectations are very high. Had the Pork Gyros and some extra fries on the side. Meat was tough, leathery and flavourless. Fries were cold and hard. All of it sitting under a heat lamp for what I imagine was quite a while. It was a really thin style of french fry, so would have only have taken 1-2 mins max to cook fresh. Wasn't busy either. Took ages to order as "Maria" had gone AWOL meaning no one else was capable of taking it (I also speak greek incase anyone's is thinking this may have been a language barrier issue) Such a shame for such a great location. I really wish places like this would make more effort, but I suppose with the high volumes of tourists during the summer they just don't care as they still make their money anyway. Very frustrating. had one of the most disappointing dining experiences at Estia Gyrus Grill House in Lindos. From the moment we arrived, the service was unwelcoming and careless. We were left waiting far too long to be seated even though there were plenty of empty tables, and once we finally sat down, it took ages before anyone came to take our order.

The staff seemed completely uninterested, inattentive, and almost annoyed when we asked simple questions about the menu. Drinks arrived late, and when the food finally came, it was cold and poorly prepared. What should have been a nice meal in a beautiful location turned into a frustrating and unpleasant evening.

The lack of hospitality and the overall poor service ruined the experience. Lindos has many wonderful restaurants, but unfortunately, Gyrus Grill House is not one of them. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food or...

Estia in Lindos truly impressed us. The place is meticulously clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere from the moment we arrived.

I had the chicken gyros, and it was absolutely perfect — beautifully cooked with succulent, well-seasoned chicken, crisp fries, and a fresh, fluffy pita. Simple, delicious, and exactly what you want from a great Greek grill.

The staff were exceptional throughout — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special thank you to Dimitris who went above and beyond by finding and returning my bag after I accidentally left it behind. I couldn’t be more grateful for the honesty and kindness, you’re a good man 👍🏻
