An idyllic and picturesque place possibly the best on the island close to Lindos acropolis and easily accessed by public bus (at the top of the hill on the main road) or by hire- car. Parking in a free, to the right as you look out towards the sea and acropolis, or paid for if you turn right Infront of St Paul's beach. There's a steep access path / steps to access the beach area. Once there's sunbeds and brolly are €20 (each bed) with little or no room to place your own towels on the beach :( Water is excellent for snorkeling. Pictures chapel for weddings nearby. Access from the bus and the main road is downhill and can be a Trek to the centre where there is an old olive tree. It's a very busy area at that point so suggest you access to the right as mentioned above where the free car park is. For those that are less- abled, (at a cost) a golf car will take you from the free car park to the start of the lindos village and the maze of shops and boutique accommodations. Alternatively there's another beach north of the acropolis (opposite side to St Paul's) with sand and more space, although not as picturesque. If this information on my photos reviews, please give me a thumbs up, it was very hot...
Read moreFrom the pictures and the reviews, St Paul’s Bay beach looks great but we were put off by the cost and availability of the sun loungers so we decided to defer our visit until the day we rented a boat.
Access by boat is easy but it is restricted after 11am until mid afternoon but the rental company told us that it is not strictly enforced. If you are challenged by the coast guard they are likely to only give you a telling off and move you on.
I think lots of other people have the same idea as us to go by boat to avoid the high cost and limited lounger availability.
It is pretty but…
The water is noticeably colder than other beaches close by.
With so many boats (including big ones) going in and out the bay, you take your life in your own hands if you swim in the middle.
We did not feel the water was that clear.
I don’t think this is a good place to snorkel because you have to be alert.
It is worth going to have a look. There is also a place to jump off the rocks. But to go there specially for the day, I wouldn’t bother. There are lots of other beaches to...
Read morePlease read all of it. Don't bother to read the rest of review. This is the most relevant one. Here you will find luxury at its best. ONLY 40 euros for two sun beds and a lovely umbrela.
You can also find other people staying with towels on the sand.
Cheapest beach in Rhodos.
Lovely entrenched in the water with beautiful rocks that are tickling your feet.
The beer comes in beautiful plastic glasses wich are only 5 euro.
The smoothies have excelent tase: syrup with water and ice. The difference between them its only the colorant. Don't bother reading the fancy description for them. One of them says that it has Greek yogurt wich is true it has powder Greek yogurt. You can ask the barman and convince yourself.
Its fantastic. You got to come here!
PS. I THINK THAT MOST OF THE TIME ARE CLOSED. VERY EXCLUSIVE.
St Paul's Bay its so beautiful that you will prefer to see it from google images.
