Not much left here in Copán in the way of ruins or artifacts since the best of them have been getting sold off to the highest bidder over the last century. A bit sad to see the replicas and low quality misrepresented pieces that remain. Now, in the 21st century the history of these orioles has been all but lost. We can only enjoy looking at the few pieces too large to move or too undesirable to be valuable that remain while using our imagination as to what society may have been like here so long ago. The entry price is currently L200 ($8.00USD) which is a little steep, in my opinion, for the size of the display. Hence, I deducted one star from my evaluation. All other aspects of the museum are five star performance.
They are open until 9PM, so it makes for a nice stop...

I did spend one hour waiting time in the lovely park in front, a little bit in the church nearby and had a coffee somewhere. It was...
