Hotel Camino Maya — Hotel in Copán

I stayed in this hotel before, many years ago, located right next to the central park.||Looking for a hotel with a pool, I knew if you stayed in this hotel you were able to use a pool which wasn't in the hotel itself, but belonged to them. ||Well, they build next to that pool many nice new rooms. They call the new section "Agua Blanca" ||The room were I stayed had everything you may need. Wi-Fi, new towels, great bed, A/C, Cable TV, coffee maker (with coffee, cream and sugar), so you can make your coffee in the morning, iron, desk, terrace with nice view and a clean pool, which is nice to have in Copan ( hot and humid, seems like mayans liked that). ||The breakfast was included, and I realized when I was having it at the restaurant, that you can actually get room service, and get it in your room. I wish I would have done that as there were many flies around the pool. ||The water in my toilet was not working that great, as it was one of this new kind of eco friendly toilettes that by saving water do not flush that well, but that was the only inconvenient of the hotel. I was surprised how everything else worked great. ||Will definitely stayed there again.||Plus they had a very friendly concierge named Karina ( or Mariana, I am not sure). Ate at their restaurant, Tradicion y Sabor Copaneco, and it was the worse experience I've ever had in a restaurant. I asked the waitress if their tortilla soup had any animal products, she said no, and their soup had bacon bits. I told her about it and she said they'll change the soup and remove the bacon bits. She brought back the same soup with just less bacon bits, I still found a few pieces of it, therefore I told her I didn't want it anymore. At check out she told me I still had to pay for it since they had already prepared the soup, I asked if I could speak with a supervisor or the owner, and she said there was no...

It's a very nice hotel but for the price I was expecting to be a little nicer! overall the hotel was clean and comfortable there's wi-fi in the hotel with for been in copan was nice to have. Also they included breakfasts with is a typical a Honduran breakfast I got to say it was really good. Staff was very friendly and honest. I got to say I forgot my shoes at the hotel I call couples day later and they say they had them. The Staff is very honest and very helpful. I I would definitely recommend this hotel to...
