We enjoyed our morning here and definitely recommend it if you are looking to relax. Here is some information to help you plan your trip here. Things to bring: swimsuit, towel, credit card if you want to buy something from the little cafe there, flipflops, a little bag to carry things in and your phone with the QR codes on if you bought your tickets online. Some people bring a hat, reading material, sunscreen (for sun lounging after going in the pools, sunglasses, water bottle. We bought our tickets online at the site linked on this page as the official website. The price was 2900HUF per person. On the website it indicated that the inside pools (excluding the cold pool) were closed for renovation. This did not deter us. The tickets are emailed to you. Note that there is a message that says not to use Microsoft email addresses. Upon arrival we went up the stairs and found the ticket counter. She smiled and scanned the QR codes we received. We were then given a "watch" each. See photos. No deposit was asked for. To enter the changing area you need to go up the stairs. Here you use your "watch" to scan an electric turnstile. You enter. Also there is a friendly woman worker here who will assist you if you don't understand the technology (like me!)😅 You turn right and enter an area with lockers. Interestingly it is for everyone regardless of your sex. I found a room titled a "cabin". I used this room to change into my swimsuit. I then went and found a locker. You use your "watch" to lock your locker. There are pictures and some English here to help you along but we did have to intuit a bit too. And it worked like magic. There are washrooms here, a shower area. You leave the changing area the same way you came. You go back down the stairs. The sauna was inside and it was open for use. We used the two outside pools. One was 36C and the other was 38C. There is an outdoor shower there as well. The atmosphere was very relaxing. There are sunbeds inside and outside. In view of both pools you will find an area to hang your bag and/or towel if you choose to bring anything with you. We left everything locked in the locker. The outdoor pools, the changing room upstairs, and the washrooms were very clean and in very good shape. You can use the spinner to help remove excess water from your bathing suit. There are small bags for you to place your wet suit in. After you leave the changing area you place your watch in a slot by the turnstile. This allows you to leave. Please don't worry if you don't remember all this. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There are a lot of signs that were in English as well as Hungarian.

I dare say: the better bath in Budapest for the discerning afficionado. I am quite the bath lover, and I also tried Veli Bej, Rudas, Lukacs and Szechenyi. Still have a few more to try, but so far Dandar comes on top EASY. OK you're not bathing in a XVIth century cave, but you get the best steam room (by far), the best cold plunge (by far also) and the best relaxation area, all right next to each other, so you can do the magic combo of hot/cold/rest/repeat. No other bath house comes close. the steam room is the best. Powerful, super clean, comfortable, multi level seats to chose the temperature, a hose of cold water, an ice dispenser right outside, showers just in front. 5 stars. It is also right next to the cold plunge and the relaxation area, no need to walk 10 min like in some others. there is a cold plunge (Veli Ben doesn't have any!!?) and it is at 15°C. I'd love colder, but it still beats all others baths significantly. Rudas didn't have anything under 20, Lukacs was 17. the relaxation area is right in front, and it has enough lounge chairs (an issue in other bath houses) the thermal pools are airy, clean. There are 2 (38° and 35°) and a cold pool (20°) next to it. Again, layout is sensible. It is missing hotter pools, that's unfortunate. the price is the lowest of all, and by far!!! Twice cheaper than the next cheapest one, 10 times cheaper than Disneyland Szechenyi. It's not everyday that the cheapest option is also the best. there is no time limit (like the ridiculous 3h in Veli Bej for example). it is not overcrowded like most others. All of this makes for the best bathing experience in Budapest. Of course, if you are the average tourist, sure you'll get a better views at Rudas, more bling at Szechenyi, or more fancy decor at Veli Bej. But if you come for bathing, look no further. Although I would say that compared to the rest of the bathing world, Budapest disappoints as a whole, and doesn't come anywhere close to what a good Jjim Jill...

The baths are small but nice, with warm water and a relaxing atmosphere. However, the staff was extremely rude and made the experience unpleasant. Our ticket was from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. We left the pool at 6:40 as asked, but there were only three showers, so of course everyone had to wait. While I was drying my hair around 6:55, two staff members kept repeating “we’re closing, please go” in a very rude way, even though it was clear we were hurrying. It was only 7:05 PM, but their tone was unacceptable, really insisting. I asked their names: Levante Fejes and Levante Roszusza. The place is nice, but the staff really needs to learn how to treat customers...
