Karnataka Golf Association — Attraction in Bengaluru

Even though I've lived in Bangalore all my life I've never had the opportunity to visit KGA. I'm no golfer, you see. A very good friend of mine who also happens to be a keen golfer invited me to lunch at KGA. It was the perfect day for lunch at this very prestigious club. The weather was cool and balmy with a light breeze. All that greenery is a sight for sore eyes. Was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The food was better than average club food. The paneer tikka and malai chicken kebab were lip smacking delicious. The veg fried rice and the mixed veg Manchurian was quite satisfying. We finished off the lunch with gulab jamun and ice cream. Of course the lunch was accompanied by beer! Needless to say that you need a member to host you. Good location and the ambient surroundings with an occasional sound of the jet plane wizzing by. The food was great altogether, service on the dot. The place holds a legacy of its own and it can be seen in the taste and the adherence to the likes of the members in all their dishes. The caramel custard was the best amongst the dessert served , I am sure the others also find their way to the top. The taste of the authentic Food added to the sanctum sanctorum of the place , lucky few get to come here with the members who are chosen in a stringent manner after a waiting period of 12 plus years... As a golfers daughter, I can assure you that I've been to my fair share of golf courses in my life. KGA is still my favourite. I've literally grown up in this club, been coming here with family for random diwali or xmas nights since I can remember, and I have spent hours on the driving range in the cold morning hours with dad, and then hung out with friends just eating and drinking away in the clubhouse. It's a gem in the middle of the city, with lovely staff, a great spa area, and a pretty cool pool. Lucky to be able to call KGA my second home, love it, love the lush green, how well maintained and respectful the club is. Great...
