Extremely Disappointed – Policies Over Common Sense
As parents, we chose Klay expecting a safe, nurturing, and convenient environment for our child. Unfortunately, our experience has been far from that. This centre is run with a rigid, policy-first approach that often defies logic and shows little empathy toward parents or the needs of young children.
Transport Woes: There is no transport facility, and the reasoning provided is unconvincing at best. Klay expects every parent to individually drop off toddlers daily, contributing to already chaotic traffic. For a pre-school that caters to working professionals, this is highly impractical.
Insensitive Food Policy: If your child is even slightly late due to traffic and misses the narrow breakfast window, Klay’s response is to let the child go hungry. We were told, “It’s the policy.” No consideration for a toddler who might have been stuck in a car for 45+ minutes.
Entry Rules Lacking Flexibility: Children are not allowed to enter even 5 minutes before 9:00 AM. When questioned, the staff says they “cannot guarantee safety before 9 AM.” If a school cannot ensure a child’s safety for five minutes, that raises serious concerns. Again, “policy” is used to avoid taking any responsibility.
Absurd Fruit Policy: Shockingly, they also refuse to peel fruits for the children — apparently, they have a “no fruit peeling policy.” This goes against the very basics of care expected in a preschool. How is a 2- or 3-year-old supposed to peel an orange ?
Lack of Ventilation and Illnesses: This specific centre also lacks proper cross-ventilation. Many children regularly fall sick due to poor airflow, leading to constant cold and cough issues. It’s unacceptable for a premium preschool setup.
No Montessori Curriculum: They also do not follow the Montessori method, despite marketing themselves as progressive.
Frankly, we feel let down. Klay appears to be surviving largely due to corporate tie-ups, not genuine quality. Most of their policies seem designed to inconvenience parents rather than support them. Common sense takes a backseat to bureaucracy.
We are already in the process of pulling our child out and strongly recommend parents explore better-run pre-schools in the area that actually understand the needs of both children and...
Read moreI would like to start by saying Thank you and Sorry both. Sorry for being impatient about certain issues sometimes and Thank you to really appreciate the entire team at Klay Sarjapur branch with special thanks to Admin team , kitchen team , care taker team and not the least Teacher Shalini for extra exceptional skills to teach Kids and Nida Madam for her excellent leadership. Shalini Madam - you are an asset to Klay , your passion and love for kids is immensely appreciated. You were always there when my child needed motherly care and attention during her day time, sleep time and play time. You are truly my child’s God mother.
Due to certain aspirations that we felt that Klay was not the right place for my kid - we left Klay after a brief academic year and trust me I cannot regret more as to why I left Klay. Now I realise the negatives I had with Klay are too minor and I realised it within 2 weeks of joining another school.
I would like to highlight the petty negatives that I thought were a problem I found Clapp app not useful I found certain times holidays were not informed in advance (now i feel so stupid- writing the above)
Positives You want your child to grow per age You want a ultra ultra safe environment You want your child to come home not hungry You want your child to be sleeping well in day to remain happy and fresh You want your child to be with care takers who actually treat kids as their own A biggest postive “Shalini Madam”
Dear Klay - I regret leaving Klay - I wish my child could have stayed there for more time.
Dear Readers , I am one of those paranoid parents who always want to have the best for the child and always read reviews before doing anything. Any review that is over positive - I feel it is a paid one. If you can trust - this is not a paid review.
God bless Klay and Shalini...
