We booked a 6-course tasting dinner at this restaurant expecting a calm, relaxing fine-dine experience as a family. What we got instead was pure chaos.
It started right from the parking mess — total confusion, no guidance. We finally entered what we thought was the restaurant, only to realize we had walked straight into someone else’s wedding inside City Palace. We literally had to cross the wedding crowd, decorations, and even pass by the bride and groom’s stage just to find the entrance to the restaurant.
Once we finally reached the rooftop, it was surrounded by the ongoing wedding — blaring Bollywood music, cheering, fireworks, smoke, and nonstop noise. We had gone for a peaceful evening and ended up feeling tortured for the entire hour. We couldn’t even hear each other talk. Our “fine-dine family dinner” turned into everyone eating quietly, glued to their phones, just waiting for the ordeal to end.
Every course that came felt like one more round of punishment we needed to rush through.
I’ve had multi-course dinners across the world, but this was by far the most unpleasant and poorly managed experience I’ve ever had.
At the very least, the restaurant staff should have informed us at the time of reservation that there was a wedding event happening that would affect the ambience. We could have easily chosen another day — or better, they could have avoided taking fine-dining bookings during such events.
The final embarrassment? On our way out, someone actually asked us if we were uninvited wedding guests because we weren’t dressed for a wedding.
What a flop show. We went in okay and came out with a headache. If you want a true fine-dining experience in Jaipur, avoid this place.

These vessels were specially commissioned to carry water from the Ganges for the Maharaja to drink on his trip to England in 1902.
