I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mittai Theruvu, also known as SM Street, in Kozhikode, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The street exudes an aura of liveliness, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the city. With its bustling crowds, colorful shops, and tantalizing aromas wafting through the air, Mittai Theruvu truly stands out as a shopaholic's paradise.

First and foremost, the wide range of shops and stores available here is simply amazing. From traditional clothing boutiques to modern fashion outlets, from authentic handicrafts to trendy accessories, you can find it all in this bustling street. The diversity of products ensures that there is something for everyone, making it a perfect destination for both locals and tourists alike. What impressed me the most about Mittai Theruvu was the friendly and welcoming nature of the shopkeepers. They are always ready to assist you, providing valuable insights into the products and helping you make informed decisions. Their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile for customers make the shopping experience even more enjoyable.

Furthermore, the street is well-maintained and clean, ensuring a pleasant environment for shoppers. Despite the bustling crowds, the authorities have done a commendable job of keeping the street tidy, which adds to the overall positive experience.

However, I must mention that due to its popularity, the street can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours and weekends. This can sometimes make navigation a bit challenging, but it's a minor inconvenience considering the plethora of offerings available.

In conclusion, Mittai Theruvu, or SM Street, in Kozhikode is a vibrant and diverse shopping destination that deserves a four-star rating. With its wide array of shops, delectable street food, friendly shopkeepers, and well-maintained environment, it offers an unforgettable experience for visitors. Whether you're a local or a tourist, a visit to Mittai Theruvu is a must for anyone looking to explore the heart and soul of Kozhikode's...

S.M. Street, abbreviation for Sweetmeat Street, also known as Mittai Theruvu. It is a renevated traditional kerala market located in Kozhikode, Calicut. It is a great shopping destination for people of all ages. One of the busiest market in kerala. It is a bustling street filled with shops and stalls selling everything from clothes to jewellery. You can see a flow of buyers at the market even at 11:00 pm.

The vendors are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere of the street is lively with people milling around and bargaining for the best deal. There are also many eateries found in the street which offer a range of dishes. With its wide variety of shops and products, SM Street is a great place to explore.

The market floor is layed in interlocks which are beautifully layed. You may get all kind of things in this market. Sweets, bakery items, juice, fabrics, sandals, utensils, electronics, bakery, cake, juices, juice stalls, cafe, theater etc. Its is a feel to walk through the market which is beyond words to explain; especially in night. I wasn't here at night but i can tell that at night this street must be looking so beautiful with all the lights.

It's a really beautiful street with so many shops on both sides. Mittayi theruvu is most popular for its halwa shops. I am not really a fan of halwa but the halwa shops with colorful halwas are so beautiful to look at. There are also so many textile shops and footwear shops here.

The main attraction is "Halwa" you will get verities of halwa from here. And also u can buy dresses and accesseries at very low price. Other food items also you will get at affordable price. Normally SM street is a very busy street always crowded. I visited Mittayi theruvu on a weekday and yet it was crowded. I wonder how busy these are...
