'DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT' The Nest is a urban forest cum garden situated in the heart of Malabar Hill, near Godrej Baug. Previously known as Shantivan, this garden was renovated and revamped with financial aid from CEAT and the RPG Group. The garden is divided into different zones, with each zone having a distinct aura and vibe. There are old trees and plants, as well as new ones planted, with each tree and plant marked with a infographic containing it's scientific and common names, medicinal uses and other trivia. For example, we saw a Jackfruit Tree, Coffee Plant, Kadipatta Plant, Shoeflowers, Aloe Vera etc. to name a few. There is also an innovative tree art made out of used mobiles, wires and pipes. The garden also had beautiful canopies to just rest and unwind and admire the sounds in the garden and the environment. The trail of the garden is also beautifuly designed, blending well with the natural surroundings and with small bridges placed at a few spots. All in all, would definitely recommend a visit to this garden. Although not as expansive as some other gardens in the vicinity, The Nest has its own uniqueness and charm. It transports you to a different world altogether. Entry is completely free. The garden can be a bit difficult to find, but using Google Maps we could locate it easily. Street parking is available in the vicinity.

Nest: Mumbai’s First Urban Forest With over 5,000 plants, lush greenery, and a variety of bird species, the Nest offers free entry. A perfect escape from Mumbai’s hustle and bustle. It’s so peaceful that you'll instantly feel connected to nature. The forest is divided into several unique zones: • Bird Zone • Indigenous Zone • Medicinal Plants Zone • Butterfly Zone Each area features informative signboards, enhancing your experience. You'll also discover a big and small Gazebo, small waterfall, a well, and a nursery where you can purchase plants. A hidden green gem in Mumbai, the Nest is a must-visit, where every step you take invites you to connect with nature in a way that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

The nest is the best place to escape from daily hussle. Its a green and extremely calm place for walking and relaxing. There is pin-drop silence in the garden, you can hear the sounds of birds and cute squirrels all around the garden. There is a variety of medicinal and different plants'/trees in the garden. A must visit. A request- don't destroy the garden, let it remain this good.
