From the private balcony, the expansive oceanfront view unfolds, creating an immersive connection with the natural beauty that surrounds the resort. The design of the studio reflects a harmonious blend of modern comforts and artistic aesthetics, setting the stage for a memorable stay. This studio category is more than just a room; it's an invitation to indulge in the splendor of Seminyak's coastal allure. Returning to a Higher Tier: Having stayed at Desa Potato Head multiple times, the Oceanfront Studio marked an elevation in my experience. Previously, I explored the charm of their other room types, making this stay a culmination of my affinity for the resort. The Oceanfront Studio now stands as the epitome of my Desa Potato Head retreats. Captivating Oceanfront Views: What enamored me most about Desa Potato Head was the breathtaking oceanfront view from the private balcony. Each moment spent gazing at the horizon became a tranquil escape, creating a sense of serenity amid the lively energy of Seminyak. The overall vibe of Desa Potato Head, coupled with the charming library and the tempting charcuterie offerings, added layers of sophistication to the experience. Culinary Delights: The culinary offerings at Desa Potato Head are a celebration of diverse flavors. The breakfast spread, served by the beach and pool, is a culinary journey that indulges the senses. The Indonesian options, in particular, stand out, providing a flavorful exploration of local cuisine against the backdrop of the serene coastline. I have to say Desa Potato Head was definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The kindness and efficiency of the staff was exceptional, the grounds were stunning (the facilities and design throughout the space feel like modern art), the ethos of wellness and sustainability was present throughout the hotel in innumerable ways and the delicious food at plant-based Tanaman Restaurant was the best food of our entire two-week trip. The main standout aspect of Desa PH for me was the centring of wellbeing for the planet and for us as people. We decided to take part in quite a few of the sustainability and wellness activities that were available; from a 7am 'Morning Beach Clean up' to a 7pm 'Under the Rising Moon: Full Moon Meditation' and were constantly blown away by the profundity of each experience. It became so much more than just a beach holiday for sure! The tri-part reverence for Nature, People and God that appeared so constant in Balinese culture is likewise evident in Desa Potato Head. Especially for those who are spiritual inclined, I would recommend staying here and leaning in to as many of the workshops etc. that are available as possible. But even if you just want the beach, cocktails and music, you will love it here - the DJ's were spinning so many bangers the whole time that you can't help but feel good vibes, and food and drinks can be ordered all day to the comfy shaded daybeds. Lastly - the sunset. Being a Londoner it's not something we see very vividly on a daily basis but we were moved to silence by the sheer unfiltered beauty of the Sun every evening. Whether we watched from the poolside daybeds or stood in the ocean as it gently disappeared on the horizon, there are no words for that perfect, unobstructed view. You have to see it for yourself! My only criticism is the bathroom in our Island Suite. It felt a little worn down and grubby in corners around the bath and shower, which was a shame as the room was quite expensive, but the housekeeping kept everything as clean as possible nonetheless and it wasn't so bad that we were put off using it. With a bathroom refurbishment the room would be perfect, but I'm sure many rooms are newer than others so don't be deterred. Overall - it was such a relaxing and an enriching experience, so much more than a hotel! Thank you Desa Potato Head for such a fun, restorative and enlightening stay. Counting down the days till we're back again :)

This hotel easily tops the other big brand chains with the level of service, comfort, hospitality, food, and amenities. This sustainable hotel provides you the basic necessities and BEYOND for the whole length of your stay. From the moment you checkin, you get a reusable tote bag and stainless steel water bottle to keep and use during your stay. In rooms, there are more amenities and goodies (cookies and chocolates) for you to enjoy. ALL the food and drinks at breakfast, beach club, and in room were so delicious. I appreciate the breakfast being a table service instead of buffet as it feels more exclusive and they were all very attentive to your needs. The spacious gym is terrific, there are rowing machines, a couple of squat racks, free weights on top of the basic equipments. The smart tv in-room also allows you to chromecast from your devices and stream on youtube, which is great for chilling in. There are plenty of activities to fill your day with here should you decide to take it easy. I did the AM Guidance Oracle Card reading and it was amazing! One of my favourite perks about here is that for in-house guests, there is no minimum spending should you decide to use the daybeds at the beach club. There is also a separate section for the in-house guests only and it is quieter there. I cant sing anymore praises for this hotel as theres too much to compliment but you have to stay and experience it for yourself.

The ambiance is always vibrant, but it still feels exclusive and serene. Overall, Potato Head Beach Club is the perfect spot to enjoy a day in Bali. If you plan to visit after 6 PM, it's essential to be on the guest list, as there is an admission fee of 250,000 IDR—though this fee is waived if you’re staying at their hotel. Given the popularity of the venue, we opted to dine in the restaurant area on the upper floor, which offers a more relaxed atmosphere amidst the lively crowd. The music added to the ambiance, making for an enjoyable evening. The restaurant specializes in Indonesian cuisine, which they make sure to inform you of before seating. We started with the pork satay, which was incredibly tender and practically melted in the mouth. The fried chicken was also delicious, cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior. My friend and I had differing opinions on the beef rendang—she found the flavor too intense, while I thought it was fine, though the beef could have been slightly more tender. The cocktails were expertly crafted, complementing the rich flavors of the food. To balance the meal, we ended with a cold dessert, which provided a refreshing contrast to the more robust dishes. The service was excellent throughout, with the staff assisting us in selecting the right drinks and dessert to enhance our dining experience.
