Warung Ibu Nila — Restaurant in Bali

Be careful with places that don't have menus with prices - they will try to fool you if you are a foreigner. Don't support such a business, it's like everyone's trying to suck money out of you in here. I saw the reviews and I thought we will have a blast, but it wasn't so. She said "30,000, local price". We knew that's not local price - we ate at other warungs (that had menus with prices) and all the food was under 10.000, i kid you not. Even so, we said we will still eat here (being naive because of the reviews) and the food was terrible. I had a gado-gado, which was basically cabbage with 2 pieces of tofu AND 1/2 egg- no potato, no other veggies. My boyfriend had something called "slice of chicken" and it was an unedible soup with almost no chicken (a few shredded bites, no slice). I don't usually leave negative reviews, but we're fed up with this type of behaviour. I know they count on tourism and I would pay 30.000 or more for good food, but not when you're trying to cheat us....

Amazing food for the price! This place was recommended highly in a few blogs so we visited for some local food and it exceeded our expectations!

Firstly, the woman who runs this place is the nicest, sweetest lady who makes you feel like she is your mom making homemade food for you! She asked me what I wanted and told me to take a seat and I felt exactly like when I was younger waiting in the kitchen while my mom cooked up a meal for me!

The food was exceptional, we had a Mie Goreng and ayam bakar. The chicken was perfectly roasted and the Mie Goreng was amazing!

We love Mama Nila! Her food is delicious and hearty and well known among many in Ubud. The food is prepared fresh daily and is very authentic Indonesian food at cheap local prices :) I absolutely recommend the Nasi Campur, Gado Gado, and Soto Ayam!
