Bali Luwih Ubud — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

Really liked the food here at Bali Luwih and would recommend trying this place. They have a good variety on the menu but we ordered Nasi Goreng Ayam, Bihun Goreng, Satay Lilit and mixed juice. We really enjoyed the flavors of each of the dishes here. For desert, we had the fried bananas and the banana pancake, which both satisfied our sweet tooth. Our favorite was the Nasi Goreng Ayam. We do wish that the Satay Lilit had a bit more meat on the lemon grass, felt that the price should have been a bit lower for the quantity of meat. But overall we enjoyed our meal and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice with traditional Balinese music playing in the background. Wir waren leider etwas enttäuscht. Durch die guten Bewertungen haben wir uns auf leckere Essen gefreut. Wir hatten erstmal Probleme einen Platz zu bekommen, da es sehr voll war. Daher hatten wir was zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Es war unglaublich kompliziert, da wir mit Bestimmtheit auf uns aufmerksam machen mussten, da keine Reaktion bei den Kellnerinnen kam. Auch als andere Gäste kamen mussten diese sehr lange warten, bis ihnen gesagt wurde, dass kein Platz mehr frei ist. Bei der Bestellung musste ich mehrmals korrigieren, da es nicht stimmte. Wir durften an einem reservierten Tisch auf unsere Bestellung warten. Dieser wurde über eine Stunde frei gehalten. Es kam niemand. So lange haben wir auch auf das Essen gewartet. Hierbei wurde ein Teil der Bestellung vergessen. Der Besitzer hat sich mehrmals entschuldigt und hatte uns vorab auch informiert, dass es etwas dauert. Dafür habe ich Verständnis. Was ich nicht verstehe, warum jemand, der nach uns kam, vor uns sein Essen bekam und wir so lange warten mussten. Wir haben nichts kompliziertes bestellt. In der Stunde, in der wir auf das Essen gewartet haben, konnten wir dem Treiben zuschauen. Eine Frau hat direkt neben der Küche und den Gästen geraucht, ohne dass eine Reaktion kam. Eine neue Reservierung wurde vergessen. Es wirkte auf mich sehr chaotisch und unruhig. Keine gute Atmosphäre für ein entspanntes Essen. Die einzige Person, die sich versucht hat zu kümmern, war der Besitzer. Ich hätte mir von den Kellnerinnen insgesamt mehr Achtsamkeit im Umgang mit den Gästen und einen Überblick über das Geschehen gewünscht. Wir hatten gehofft , dass sich wenigstens das Essen lohnen würde, aber bis auf die Hackfleischspieße haben uns die anderen Sachen leider nicht so gut geschmeckt. Aber ja Geschmäcker sind...
