I went here with my wife and 2 kids: 4.5 and 3 yo. We originally stayed for 3 nights, but extended our stay for an extra 2 nights. We took the family suite with 2 bedrooms and a shared living room. 5/5 staff: front desk very friendly and remembers our names. We requested the carpets to be removed because my kids are sensitive to dust. My wife and I both felt itchy after chilling on the sofa so we requested it to be covered or cleaned. When we return to the room, the carpets were gone, the sofa was replaced by a fresh one, and we were given an air purifier. One could argue that the sofa should be clean to begin with, but I was very impressed by how much care they've put into our requests. The house keeping staff left a very nice hand-written note, which was a great gesture. Overall very friendly and helpful staff, we are very pleased. 5/5 room: the suite we booked was amazing. It was spacious, and had everything we needed including a dishwasher and a washing machine. My only small complaint is that the toilet is a little too small for my comfort. I am a 100kg man and it felt quite small. The pool was directly in front of our patio so it was great. There were quite a lot of mosquitos but if you keep the doors closed you should be fine. They also said they will be installing more mosquito repellant very soon. 1/5 kid's club: the "kid's club" felt like a repurposed office space turned into an afterthought of a kid's club + warehouse. There were just a few playstation booths and a tiny ball pit. 2 out of the 3 staffs we encounter there were not very nice. I really wish you improve your "kid's club" and make a proper one in the future. 4/5 activity club: called Bamboo, an outdoor kid's club that has plenty of fun activities are much better than the other one. The staff was absolutely wonderful, but I find the space to be very small. It was great that we came during low season so there weren't any other children. But I imagine having more than 5 kids in the space doing activities would already feel too crowded. They have a swing and a small greenhouse. Overall a nice outdoor activity area for the kids. 5/5 pool: it's so great it warrants its own section. The fact that the indoor "kid's club" is very pathetic is overshadowed by the fact that we had access to two majestically-built, expansive pools: one at Nusa Dua Gardens, and one at The Courtyard (they share the same hotel grounds). The one at Nusa Dua Gardens also feature a "lazy river" which goes around the pool restaurant / bar, which is awesome. There is also a spacious "jacuzzi" pool with jets and warm water. We swam everyday and we didn't get bored at all. 4/5 food taste, 3/5 dining experience: we didn't have breakfast when we were there so we can't comment on that, but the food on the menu was generally good and lots of options to choose from. The caesar chicken wrap from the pool resto was nice, and my favorites from MoMo would be the mutton biryani, the duck (forgot the name, but it's not the "featured" one, it's the one of the indonesian food section I think), and the porterhouse steak. That said, we had a poor to okay experience dining in MoMo. First time we tried, we weren't allowed to be in our swimwear, when MoMo had an outdoor patio area right in front of the pool. We were asked to eat on the pool loungers, so we just walked back to the room and eat there. Second time, we came and sat for 15 minutes before anyone greeted us and gave the menu. They were busy cleaning leaves off their "no swimsuit patio area" that they weren't really paying attention. To Nusa Dua Garden's benefit, MoMo is managed by The Courtyard. So if we're pointing fingers, Courtyard needed to up their training. But as customers, it was all one single experience. Please work together to improve the service. Conclusion: you may see a lot of "complaints" here, but I'm giving this 5 stars because honestly it was an overall very, very nice experience. These things that can be improved are nothing compared to all the good things this place have going on. Well done!...
Read moreOur stay at MVC Nusa Dua Gardens was very comfortable and exactly the break we needed!
Highlights: Location is very good, near the beach and shopping centre, Bali collection. There are shuttle services running through the day to get to both. Also walking distance to nearby supermarket, gift shops, good restaurants etc.
Check-in: We arrived late in the night and were warmly greeted by the staff, who ensured a smooth check-in. The entire process was done within ten minutes, and we felt very welcomed.
Room: We took a guest bedroom with access to the pool and found it very convenient during our stay to just get to the pool or the restaurant. The room was just about the right size for a couple, with a very comfortable bed. Quite often we find the bed either too springy / bouncy, but this was just right. There was also a small kitchenette equipped with all the basics - a hob, cutlery, plates, etc. It also had a microwave oven. The washroom came with a bathtub, and very thoughtful to keep a stool near the bathtub to help with mobility. Amenities like dental kit, etc are available upon request, as part of sustainability measures. The rooms are pristine, and hygienic. A special shout-out to our dedicated and hardworking housekeeping staff - Gita and Janu for always ensuring we’re back to well-made, clean and organised rooms. That is such a treat especially when you’re out the whole day and want to just come back to a well made bed. The room was also prepped with balloons, birthday decor and a sweet treat for me when we checked in, so that was a nice gesture.
Dining/ Restaurants: Breakfast is at Momo Cafe near the pool, and it does get quite busy early on, so keep some adequate time at hand for that. We found some queues during our stay at breakfast hours, but the restaurant staff was managing it so well and with a smile on their faces. No flustered looks even with the crowds. We would be tended to soon and always so warmly, that’s a huge plus for us. Especially in the morning that’s a pick-me-up If you’re greeted so warmly.
Breakfast spread was good - local fare and western staples - egg counter, bakery, pancakes / waffles, fruit station, cheeses and yogurts, tea/coffee station, etc. The fruits are so fresh. Everything was fresh! Service was prompt even at busy times.
Dapur Santai: We had our dinners here usually, and though the menu is not very huge, everything that we had was just delicious. Plus the staff is just so warm and friendly! We had the mee goreng, nasi goreng, katsu, black ink pasta, and pisang goreng during our stay. Everything was made well and we enjoyed our meals here. Portion sizes are huge.
We also tried the pool bar counter there and a special mention to the staff there - generally manned by one person. He was single handedly managing that counter even during a busy period.
In-room dining: Momo Restaurant caters to in-room dining orders and the food is good. Thank you to the restaurant staff for pleasant hot meals - we especially liked the avocado coconut dessert.
Concierge / Front-Office: It was always such a delight to be greeted so warmly, and all the interactions we had were pleasant and warm. Special mention to Chandra, who would always greet us so proactively wnd promptly every time and willing to jump in and help if we needed any assistance. Especially on the last day as our airport shuttle got delayed, he jumped right in to help us communicate with the driver. Christian, who we met on the last day also did our check-out formalities so smoothly, interacting like a warm friend.
Other Amenities/Services: We used the spa service and the staff there was very friendly and competent. Would recommend their massages, they do their job pretty well.
There is also a MVC room with a pool table, playstation consoles, mahjong table.
The gym and the pools are clean and well maintained. And the operating hours are comfortable so we could accommodate them easily in our day.
Overall, a warm and relaxed stay with great and welcoming staff and...
