Excellent food, not eaten such good Thai food in a while. We ordered Tom Yum Ayam Shup (Chicken Soup with Red Thai flavours) this was Awesome and sufficient for 2 of us (mind you we are big eaters and the quantity and quality were great), we had Satay Chicken with a common Balinese sauce and Peanut Butter sauce and finally topped it with Thai Shrimp curry and Rice which was again a good dish for 2 people.
The staff serves with a smile and also helped us get an extra serving of Thai curry as Indians love Rice with extra curry ...
I had beer "Bali Hai" which the server said is Pilsner however it's a Lager beer... And he was actually confused about it... But no complains about it as we were very satisfied with the food and serving style...
The prices are a bit on the higher side however being a fine dine place that's expected. There is no air-con but we had a good shower just before the dinner so it was pleasant ...
A must try for all visiting the Art & Culinary Center. This is in the North Zone ..
For alcohol lovers you must try their Arak Attack cocktails as the table next to us confirmed it's really good...
Read moreThere are two Mai-Mai. We ate at the one on Jalan Pantai Mengiat I was staying down the road at one of the resorts when we decided to give this place a try. Since there were seven of us, we decided to let one of our group (of Malaysian descent) order multiple dishes that we shared. We also ordered large beers which turned out to be .61 liter Bin Tang bottles. We tried satay, nasi goreng rice, beef salad and lots of other things. The meal was excellent and only cost us US$12 per person. We ended up going back a second night when we couldn't get a reservation at one of the more famous restaurants in Bali. The first night the live entertainment was a singer and a guitar player, and the second night it was a solo guitar player. Both acts were decent. The restaurant has indoor dining at the back and al fresco dining at the front. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice night. Overall, we enjoyed the food (I especially liked the fiery sambal matah salsa) and the prices were...
Read moreThe food and drinks are quite varied. The dish I chose was as how much you would expect from a reliable Balinese cuisine. There’s really nothing much to shout about, and I guess the customers are mainly there to have a pleasant meal with cold beers by the side. Great place to hang out and sample some of the local delicacies if you don’t feel like heading too far out at night. As for me, it’s more so for my own convenience, rather than recommendations over Google. Don’t get me wrong, the food’s great, just don’t expect anything over-the-top. And it’s ideal for the budget traveler. The punch on the other hand was nice and sweet and I had two to go during my...
